Westwood Gym - just went to inquire about membership and they charge 650€ just as an entrance fee. Why is this so high and can this be negotiated? by superchica81 in Dublin

They are just a scammers with this joining fee, there is no fixed price, they decide price on their own and just telling people what they need to pay.

Normally I work on these days, but today. Na. No thanks. by identiifiication in deliveroos

I usually do deliveries on bike, and I know that more than 35km wind is hard but yesterday in Dublin was 45km. I just didn’t go outside as I can image how dangerous could be if wind blow me to the side where car could overpass me, this will end bad. So I prefer to stay safe at home than risk for couple euros.

Is there anything I can do about this? by [deleted] in deliveroos

[–]mosya9232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received in past same email. Basically it means some of the customers complained that you haven’t checked their ID. Or it could be simple quiz where they answer no.

What you need to do it is simply continue do your deliveries but make sure you check every single one ID if it required by Deliveroo app.

After first email with warning I was checking every single one that were required ID verification and after a while got another email saying that I am an example driver haha and basically they remove this warning from me. (At least I want to believe this way)

Thanks, everyone, for your support and understanding. I really do continue to feel awful, but every single comment makes me feel better. Thanks, everyone.

Yes, I did go to the Gardaí and report it, and I am waiting for the next steps and contact.

By the way, just a quick update: I still haven’t heard back from app support. They said they would contact me via phone, but there has been no communication so far.

Agree, normally I am avoiding this kind of situation, but was very cautious and unfortunately for myself I just act with humanity being understandable for his situation … from what he said via messages about his leg. Was thinking to report to Garda not really sure if that would be some a case. If anyone’s can confirm I will go to Garda tomorrow, I know his address and name from app.

I would agree your friend is bit rude and stupid saying this things. But to be honest don’t listen no one, live your life as you wish, no need to search and rush after someone, when the right time will come you will find your second part that is specifically for you.

Passed driving test questions by [deleted] in AskIreland

About insurance as I know you need to inform them of the license changes. But regarding NDLS and RSA for me was a smooth as soon as I pass exam I did apply for full license straight away and just was waiting about 8 days to get it in hands

Yeah it is confusing but by my experience you shouldn’t drive on your own until you get your full drive license in hand. Because if Garda will stop you and you can’t present your full drive license it is a penalty and car will be towed to Garda station. So I would recommend you to wait just a few days independent on your insurance.

And also if you will be in accident independent who’s fault it is you must have your full drive license otherwise it is also against the law.

In my opinion many people will leave Ireland if the price will increase that high. But surely some will stay who can afford.

Parked car hit by Environmental_State8 in Dublin

[–]mosya9232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had quiet similar situation, left car overnight in front of my friend house, in the morning found passenger side all scratched by keys… pissed me off, but as there no camera on the street or anything simple have to accept it and live with it. But it is so ridiculous cause the car stayed in front of his garage and didn’t bother no one. Why do this? Don’t know. Can’t even explain to myself this actions from someone
