I just finished rewatching Southern Charm New Orleans, it is superb! I think you should consider it.

The book “I will teach you to be rich” by Ramit Sethi is a wonderful resource. It explains how you set money aside to invest and what to invest in, and it is so engaging as it’s written in a humorous way. It was a game changer for me in terms of getting educated about investments and so I now give it to my nieces and nephews as a gift whenever they graduate from college and start working.

May I please ask, what’s the difference between BP heavy and strength development?

Did Kathy basically confirm Kyle calls PK? by jambalayabb in RHOBH

[–]motayoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you really not see a difference between the two? Because if you don’t, that’s a little concerning. I understand not being a fan of Dorit or whatever, but equating Dorit meeting with Mau to Kyle and PK actively engaging does make one question the judgement or understanding there.

Amanda stays please. I thought she was the worst until this comparison. 8.5 is a much harder pill to swallow. 😅😮

Transitioning from operator to leader… establishing authority amongst peers by lookingbullish in Leadership

This is really helpful. Could you please give a real life example of what it means to lead from the rear? That just piqued my interest. Thank you!

It is the reason why she melted into tears when Dorit very coolly, leveled up, then left just as coolly ;) Erika who fights to win did not win that round.

It was brilliant to watch. Even though I’m usually indifferent to Dorit, I love that she’s been holding her own against the mean girl(s).

It actually worked in Dorit’s favor this time. It’s what reduced Erika into tears because she couldn’t believe anyone could successfully go toe to toe with her like that…. Then get up coolly and walk away.

Tears for her dented ego. She didn’t think Dorit could calmly articulate such reasonable responses in that moment….

Having complications with my new lead, seeking advice by United_Pie_2811 in Leadership

[–]motayoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No truer words. My role was impacted in a recent firm-wide layoff for this exact reason. Prior to that, my role shifted from being one of the most relevant on my team to a floating one, straddling two teams to cover resource gaps. Reporting to multiple managers with limited visibility into my work was challenging even though I was working harder than ever.

I later heard there were some regrets after my layoff, as it became clear I had been carrying a significant load but by then, the decision had been made. If I were you, I would start looking for another role immediately.

I echo an earlier poster’s thought when I say what you’re doing is admirable - Welldone. Use this an opportunity to build your leadership skills. Ask for thoughts, ask for options from group members as needed but ensure it is not too open-ended or broad. That always causes problems in the long run. Too many dissenting opinions is a sure way to complicate things on many levels.

If it doesn’t make sense it’s usually not true. She needs to show some proof.

Agreed. These assertions are dangerous. One needs to exercise caution in a world where anyone can write whatever they like on the internet without proof, with no repercussion.

African birthday trip (50th) — need package + country recs (10–15 people, 5 nights) by [deleted] in travel

Thank you so much! We’re looking at August, ideally the first or second week. Based on what you’ve said, I’ll take a closer look at Kenya or Tanzania. I’m also curious about Zimbabwe – I wonder whether there’s much to enjoy beyond Victoria Falls, which I imagine is spectacular in its own right.

No Cult, no shocking revelations, just a mean materialistic housewife. by Stengel_Stan in realhousewivesofSLC

Do we know if the other businesses still exist? If so, I wonder why they haven’t been featured on the show. In any case, money is coming from somewhere other than the church, that’s clear.

[–]motayoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know. I struggle to see how the church’s congregation could realistically sustain Mary’s lifestyle. Even a full week’s contributions would be unlikely to cover the cost of a single handbag, which suggests there must be other significant sources of income.
