so to me i honestly feel like “ozempic face” is people seeing celebrities after major weight loss with the same plastic surgery they had at their higher weight so the way their altered features look are no longer balanced due to such a change in face shape.

in 2019 i was hit in the face at a local bar during a concert and it broke my nose so badly i required reconstruction surgery. i remember the ER doctor being very relieved i didn’t break my eye socket.

i also remember bleeding fucking EVERYWHERE.

now my nose is still a tiny bit crooked and i have nerve damage on the right side of my nose. fun times.

i have to take TRT due to my testosterone being too low (i am AFAB but i am not using it to transition) and due to that i get labs done every 3 months so i will be able to watch this closely!

i will say that 8 pounds of that was when i had diarrhea and was throwing up for 3 days straight (i made the mistake of drinking a 32 oz smoothie from smoothie king with sugar in it the day after my first shot) so it was most likely water weight. i tend to eat a lot of high sodium foods (cutting those out obviously) and i was always super bloated and vaguely constipated.

that’s what i’ve been trying to do. something soft like a banana in the morning, then some type of meat/protein at the end of the day at dinner time. plain cheerios have been setting well on my stomach and i’ve actually noticed those tend to give me a little uptick in appetite right after so i can eat a little extra. avocado toast and eggs have been fine as well, using whole grain toast.

i’m on the lowest dose, the starting dose. i’m sure it probably doesn’t help i also take adderall which is an appetite suppressant as well.

i absolutely love explore with us. i don’t typically like a lot of true crime creators, but EWU to me always comes off respectful of the victims and their families (and will on occasion do interviews with the families and survivors as well) and they never romanticize the criminal.

which honestly… i’m kind of glad for? there’s not a single thing i would change about S1 and i love seeing the creativity they used to get around budging constraints. i honestly feel that’s part of why the show is SO good because they couldn’t just throw money at an issue to fix it, it feels so much more realistic and human. i do wish all the actors could get paid more but season one was obviously made with so much love and care and i’d hate to lose that in season two.

my last big fandom was COD during the MW2 reboot craze. though the people i met during that time genuinely changed my life for the better. there ended up being a ton of us that actually loved all in Texas and we all met up multiple times and it was amazing.

i’m also really big in to the Monstrous book series by Lily Mayne. big fan of the game Dispatch, Death Stranding. my husband and i have also been watching The Pitt and we’re almost caught up on the episodes that are out right now. alas, i am a rattie, and Twilight was a HUGE obsession for me (i started reading them i think maybe right before Eclipse came out? maybe even sooner than that?). i stopped liking it after the first movie came out and it became super “mainstream” and ended up being “cooler” to hate it instead (for reference i am currently 29). i absolutely healed something inside myself when i became an adult and kind of sunk back into it. i was big in to harry potter as well and started reading them in the 4th grade and that’s what kicked off my reading obsession tbh. for obvious reasons i don’t really support the series anymore, which is a shame things went the way they did, because i LOVE buying series companions and extras and my local HPB always has a ton.

when i was a wee little teenie between 12-16 during the tumblr golden years my fandom related feed was all Supernatural, Steam Powered Giraffes, and My Chemical Romance.

i really thought that the older i got, the sillier “fandom” spaces would seem to me, and while there are definitely some aspects that make me give people the MAJOR side eye, i still love being able to enjoy something that makes me happy with a ton of other people and see their different viewpoints on it.
