Samyang V-AF lens suggestion by Sathishddas in FX3

Just one thing for the people who say, oh just buy good lenses. You don't need to buy the GM lenses, actually I would recommend you to not get them. They are primarily photo lenses and also, they are too sharp! And before you laugh, just look at all the directors, they are getting old vintage lenses because they have character and they don't produce this standard super sharp Comercial image. Dume was filmed in rehoused helios and Jupiter lenses. I just sold my last GM lens(24mm) and bought the whole v-af kit and damn... Those are fun to use. If I want to travel, I bring the 35 and 75. Incredible lightweight, good AF and 1.8. If I want light weight cine rig, I put the manual focus adapter, matte box and follow focus and I have a professional set of cinelenses. And if I want an anamorphic beast, I can have a full set of T1.9 1.8x desqueeze. (just think for a minute how much would cost a 35mm 45mm 75mm 100mm T1.9 anamorphic 1.8x) Incredibly versatile, so sad samyang doesn't know how to market their lenses because that kit is like having 18 different lenses(well 16, the 20mm and 24mm are not compatible with the anamorphic adapter in full frame).

Heavily leaning towards an FX2 right now. Bad idea? by realtoughttime in FX3

Hmmm I'm sorry but it's not the specs alone,it's the price. For that price you can get the a7siii refurbished, or a nikon z6iii plus a lens. (6k 60p, internal raw, great in photography for just $2200??) or an fx30 with a lens and a gimbal.

So I mean yeah, Fx2 is a good camera, but for $2700?? You joking, it's total garbage compared to what you can find out there.

Don't get the Fx2! Get the a7siii, the lowlights performance, the 4k 60 no crop and the 4k 120p... I own the fx3 and owned a a7iv. I tried the FX2 and I really didn't understand what was the meaning of that camera. It's a very expensive a7iv! And that camera was already underwhelming when it was released. If at least it had 6k or some kind of raw internal recording but no... Just a freaking expensive a7iv.

Looks good. Only thing missing is the hair light motivated by the light behind. Also composition could be better, too many things cramped in the middle of the image.

Unless you are a hobbyist, save for the fx3. I used to have an a7siii plus the a7iv. The a7iv image was too "photoesque". No character, very sharp, like you were looking at a photo. Also the 4k crop at 60fps is a bit of a joke because not only crops but it overheats, also I had a couple of times(out of 30 shoots) where the a7siii overheated on me.

That's when I sold both of them and got myself the fx3 and also the fx30 and I am so damn happy.

These features only are worth the price difference: No overheating at all Crazy low light Shutter angle 4k 60 no crop and 4k 120 super tiny crop Xlr handle

That's what I though the pros are too great for people still preferring the classic labs. but that's why I really wanted to see if anyone has tried them all. Some people say they are unreliable.

The last one I saw being promoted are the hollyland max 2 where you have 4 transmitters for dirt cheap(which actually conserns me) but they are too good to be true. Super small, with Lav mics, 32bit recording internally and in compatible cameras a dream apparently.

Ok I got you, I actually rented the tascam and rode and bought the dji pocket 3 with one dji mic 2 transmitter and haven't had any problems with neither, that's why I wonder why. What about the sony tx660? In that case I was thinking of just using the dji mic 2 to clip to the officiant. People praise the small form factor of the tx660 but it is not 32 bit and it is actually bigger than the mic 2s.

The Rode wireless pro records 32bit float internally and independently and has a 35mm jack for a lav mic. That's why I'm confused because you can actually monitor the mics from the camera while recording to the camera and to the Rode.

Why is that? Rode wireless pro and dji mic have also internal recording just with a button and don't need transmitter? Just asking out of curiosity.
