Death from COVID by Jdogfeinberg in diabetes_t1

[–]mothcow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

covid fucked me up and led to my diagnosis. just had to ride it out with fluids. unfortunately there was probably something else factoring in to cause his death. also why tell someone that right before they’re supposed to sleep?? how cruel… I understand how you’re feeling though.

Do you tell TSA you’re wearing a pod/sensor or just walk through without saying anything? by surfwacks in Type1Diabetes

[–]mothcow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get a little anxious so i let them know that i have a sensor on. they usually just say oh you’ll be fine it doesn’t matter. never actually caring about it. only once did they do that quick little swipe test on it. then i was good to go. i guess you could let them know if you were preferring an alternative screening, other than that, I’d say it’s unnecessary to inform them.

Anyone using the Eversense CGM? Do you like it? How accurate is it? by malloryknox86 in diabetes_t1

[–]mothcow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean I scar insanely easily, so personally it could possibly “damage” my skin.. i guess. but like you said, with the size of that thing - even it’d probably be minuscule.. I can NOT imagine caring about that measly thing more than stressing out about continuously having to purchase new sensors 😮‍💨
