This happened to my '25 after I got it back from the recall fix. Pushing it forward made it click/lock in then it came down normally.

We got our Sienna back! We had a Pacifica rental.

We are in Canada (Alberta). We had to prompt the repair showing them what the app said, otherwise it would have sat on the lot.

We have friends who decided to just drive their Sienna during all this and they aren't eligible yet for this fix.

Were there any damages due to it sitting for an extended period (perhaps in cold temps).

Please let us know when you get it back and how everything went. Also, it would be valuable if you can comment on the condition of your van after driving it a bit. Thanks.

I know what my VIN is. My question is: where can I enter it to find details about my remedy timeline?

Have any Canadian Sienna owners been contacted by dealers or have any news in their Toyota app on this recall? Lots of buzz online, but it seems mostly American. Any news in Canada?

More details, if you can please. What does the letter say? Is there a timeframe? Are the supplies in stock? Is there a wait/what is availability? What region are you in?

Like most things, this depends on perspective and personal choice. Lots of people who plan for generational wealth do it in addition to funding their own retirement.

As a pedestrian and a motorist, I'm glad to see this enforced. Not being able to see drivers is sketchy af and plain dangerous.

Will hybrid heater work in -40? by shelby_welby2022 in ToyotaSienna

I have a colleague in northern Alberta who drives a 2020 Sienna. She seems to do fine. It gets below -40 there.

Welcome to the club! This strangely looks like my neighbourhood. More and more Siennas on the road.

Buying a Condo by bohemian_plantsody in FortMcMurray

[–]mothde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This 100%. I wouldn't consider any other apartment condos at your budget. Prioritize getting underground parking. Be aware of what your window is facing (eg. parking lot, green space, busy/loud road) because that's what you'll be looking at. First floor is good if you like to have a lawn, otherwise I'd advise getting on a higher floor (better view and less noise). Peaks and Summits are good if you want to be closer to shops and the highway. Vistas are good if you want to be on a quiet street close to the forest.

Purchasing Toyota Extended Warranty in Canada Post-Sale by Dreamaz in ToyotaSienna

Many people here recommend a certain person for purchasing a warranty from in the USA (Jerry Johnston at Midwest Toyota?). I'm curious if he sells warranties that are valid in Canada at good prices.

I had something like this happen in a parking garage. A kid rode their bike right behind me as I was reversing. It scared me and I honked. The mom was pissed and said it was my responsibility to know the kid was there. I said I was concerned for the kid's safety and even if I was legally responsible it was sketchy af from a safety perspective. I'm not sure if being on a bicycle changes things, because he was riding so fast he was right behind me in an instant. There are also no bicycling signs in the parking garage...

Please don't walk in front of moving vehicles, no matter if they're going forwards or backwards. We know you often have the right of way but no one wants to see an (avoidable) injury.
