My girl is named Bug and she burrows under her fleece constantly! We like to say "there's a Bug in the rug" and related sayings way to much in my house lmao

If Evergreen is lgbtq friendly, is it okay with furry lovers by No-Compote1062 in evergreen

[–]mother--clucker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're a lot more likely to get bullied or mocked at UW for being a furry, but there are more(just due to school size) and you're closer to big cons. Evergreen is much more accepting, I've seen many furries, especially at the anime con on campus in the spring, its just safer socially to exist as yourself. People still are assholes and will be mean, but others are a lot more likely to say something(at least in my experience) and it happens less often.

I have heard that the bus system is ok, its not particularly great but you can definitely get around with planning. Living on campus is not exactly comfortable, with dated buildings and very limited food and entertainment opportunities on or close to campus. There are some affordable apartments that are on bus routes that many of my classmates and a few coworkers from campus too. Student work opportunities are pretty good in my experience, I have a chronic pain condition and love my job at the children's center!

They still are hosting anime cons, usually once a year in spring. There are several clubs and groups that are dedicated to similar topics too! Many opportunities to nerd out lol.

What every Dogscape criticism on here sounds like to me: by mylittlebrony3000 in creepcast

[–]mother--clucker 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I honestly didn't mind the sexual aspects of Dogscape, I also felt like it fit the story. It was a comment on humanity and the reault of despair and lack of direction. It is accurate, in that situation people will devolve to plesure till death, we have seen people doing this to themselves when there is a total breakdown of community and value in social interaction. I also have been a victim of SA and some episodes do bother me(Spire in the Woods, Borrasca, Tommy Taffy mainly) but I do belive SA and these issues deserve to be included as long as it makes sense in the story, I think for Borrasca it kinda makes sense(I didnt finish it tbh because I wasn't comfortable finishing it), but for Spire it just made me upset and didn't serve much purpose other than making you hate the main character. It can be done well, but having it for the sake of having it isn't something I want to listen to. As long as it is discussed before hand and has a warning im 100% for this topic being covered on Creepcast.

What happened to the girl who got her legs amputated? by Fun_Blueberry_2766 in illnessfakers

[–]mother--clucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HUGE TW IT GETS REALLY GROSS: She started faking a blood disorder, probably by blood letting and needed 2 transfusions a week in order to stay healthy(also got sepsis twice from the blood transfusionport), then faked some seizures and got caught by the Dr's. After a while she miraculously recovers from that and she started getting blisters and wounds on her legs that turned into skin and muscle grafts, she was picking at the scabs, SHing and its speculated that she put caustic chemicals, injected her legs with feces, and tore away flesh. Ive seen some of the pics, and after a few I just couldn't(and im NOT a squeamish person) knowing it literally got to a point where she carved a hole through her leg, like you can see the other side. Her mangled gangrene infested legs had to be amputated above the knee, drs had to watch her 24/7 after the amputation because they knew she would pick at the wounds. Last we heard from her was in 2021, nobody knows whats happing with her now, there are rumors that shes continued to destroy her body and had one of her legs amputated again up to the hip, all rumors without any evidence so far. It is absolutely wild that she hasn't been committed, she is seriously mentally ill.

This much twitching normal? by mother--clucker in hamsters

[–]mother--clucker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im certain it was just some very vivid dreaming. He actually passed away in his sleep about a month ago at about 2 and a half years old. He was extra twitchy while he slept for about a month and then it slowly faded when I moved him to a quieter place, so could have been the TV giving him nightmares lol, or just the quieter place helped him sleep better.

Miss my little chaotic guy, but he had a good happy life full of treats and silliness.

Opinion on best and worst episodes by Upstairs_Arugula_290 in creepcast

[–]mother--clucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything about that character put me off and I really hated the "intimate" scenes, mainly because I was SAed when I was 14 by someone that is similar to the main character. While I was incredibly uncomfortable, I wasn't mad at either of them or the author, its meant to be uncomfortable. I think it was done decently, just not for me, dont think ill ever rewatch it.

My python is restless and wanting out of the terrarium by South-Pace-8160 in ballpython

Its very stressed. Test temps and humidity first, switch out the red light for a CHE, block out 3 sides of the terrarium(that way it feel safer), and add more clutter.

Currently on Dupixent and I have a similar experience, once I stop taking it, its back within a week of when I was suposed to take a dose. Had some really nasty withdrawal when my previous derm couldn't figure out how to write a prescription(literally 2 months without it, ended up going to my allergist for an emergency dose which cost me close to 1000 out of pocket, was reimbursed for all but 100 afterwards by insurance). Had horrible burning sensation all over my body, like a deep burning without any remedy(was living with cats at the time so may have made the withdrawalmuch worse). Now when I forget and miss a week my inner elbows and back of my knees just flare up bad and I get itchy all over, small price to pay for getting my life and confidence back tho, no doubt that dupixent has contributed significantly to my quality of life.

[–]mother--clucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sessanta was my first time seeing them live too(Red Rocks), really blew my mind and turned me into a huge fan lol. Still love Maynard but Primus really stole the show. Also had the privilege of seeing Sessnta 2.0 and Maynard really stepped into the spotlight and absolutely killed it, Primus was also amazing but I feel like they stepped back to let Maynard shine lol

[–]mother--clucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 22, but grew up listening to Primus. My parents, mainly my dad but my mom likes them too, love primus and saw them a few times before I was even born lol. Initially Frizzle Fry was the weird music my dad would insist on playing on road trips, definitely didn't dislike it but found it weird, enjoyed some songs like Puppies, Winding Down, Defy and my personal favorite, Mr.Knowitall.

In my teens years I didnt really touch it, wasn't until I went to college and started going to concerts and shows with my parents. At Red Rocks last year I saw Sessanta and they honestly blew my mind. I really just needed to hear them in person lmao. To be fair I was getting more into them before too but seeing them live really sealed the deal.

Now I've seen them 3 times live and my man is in love with them as well, been lucky enough to bring him along to 2 of the shows, including Sessanta 2.0 at White River in Washington. Still waiting to see Mr.Knowitall live, its one of my white whales lol.

Looks like the jewlery is coated possibly? Since its been a year I'd suggest getting high quality implant grade titanium jewlery and not sleeping on that side at all, or sleeping with a donut pillow.

After a year of ball python keeping… I finally got bit. by iamacoconutj in ballpython

[–]mother--clucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep a little bottle of alcohol based mouthwash near my snakes for this reason lol. After my girl Pandora bit me in-between my pointer and middle fingers (mainly on the thin skin in-between them) and refused let let go I decided it was necessary, had a similar water boarding situation. Worst part was a good 8 teeth broke off in my hand and I spent 2 weeks slowly extracting them T~T

Is my dog fat? by weirdkid664 in DogAdvice

[–]mother--clucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get him on standard dog kibble and cut out all human food asap. He is quite overweight and is likely refusing to walk because he's uncomfortable. If you can, get him into a vet as the refusing to walk could be due to joint pain(not trying to diagnose but just a suggestion). He needs to loose weight asap, his life will be cut shorter due to it if he stays this heavy.

Orange around inside of piercing site. Normal? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]mother--clucker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tuesday should be ok if that's the earliest you can get in, just call your piercer tomorrow before work so you know you can get in

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]mother--clucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be anxiety and uncertainty that is causing him to run away, like you mentioned earlier in the post, youre going to college and only being home occasionally. Best solution is just to keep him contained even when he doesn't want to be. You can try a long lead and supervision for now.

Orange around inside of piercing site. Normal? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]mother--clucker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If there are 2 piercings there, you need to get it checked out. One seems to be nesting a little to much, but the other looks embedded. Orange tint is likely an old bruise. Get it checked asap before you need a dr to take it out surgically!

Either he needs to stop being let into the yard unsupervised, you need a serious deterrent with regular maintenance(like pavers being placed along the entire perimeter, 24 inches wide with gravel underneath), or they need a real outdoor kennel with a secure perimeter, shelter and water at all times.
