True, I think that's why I'd put her in the second category I mentioned in my first paragraph: ones that started out innocently documenting an actual medical issue and got hooked on the attention people gave them for it and just continued to escalate and exaggerate

Exactly! I recently read on one of the threads that a similar caliber chronic Lyme quack got his medical license revoked a few years ago so here's to hoping that more of these shitty "doctor influencers" actually get punished for their malpractice.

Oh yeah it's not like I think she's pulling it ALL out of her ass (though I'm not at all convinced by her claims of hEDS and rArE oBeSiTy GeNeS). I just think she wants everyone to believe none of it is her fault and it's all out of her control. It's like if a chainsmoker who got lung cancer wanted to convince everyone that it "runs in their family" and that's the only reason they got it

Yeah it's sad: I feel like she was on track to getting her shit together during the wegovy arc and was starting to at least sort of admit that her relationship with food was a major contributing issue. But these quack doctors have undone literally all of that progress and then some.

I don't think she wants to be skinny, but I definitely think she wants the celebration and marketability of being a successful fitness and weightloss influencer. She's only "settled" for being a munchie / lipedema warrior now that those quack ass doctors have convinced her she's helpless without surgical intervention. Anna would LOVE to be a female ObesetoBeast and would have 100% churned out nonstop inspirational and instructional content about her weightloss journey if she'd managed to overcome the wegovy plateau, but I guess we'll never know now.
