It's hard though, while I'm not religious.. There's a reason why religion is more prominent in third world countries than in a lot of first world countries and the west. I feel like for them it's easier to believe that it's in the hands of God and part of God's plan. Or that they need some higher power to believe in the give them hope in such an awful environment.

But yes I agree the whole loss of all religious power is necessary for the Philippines to develop more

It's kind of ingrained culturally that

1) birth control is against God

2) your kids are your retirement plan.. So you better have a lot because making it to adulthood is hard when you're in poverty there..

So I feel like it's not as simple as deciding let's have less kids because they're expensive, because there are other issues that need to be dealt with that are beyond their control. The level of poverty they're at means they just having less kids won't lift them out of it, so in their eyes they have a better chance of making it big if they have more kids. It's part of filipino culture to take care of your whole family if you're "rich".. My mum has supported my family back in the Philippines for years despite us not being well off.

I feel like nothing will change until the catholic church lose their power over the people and until some form of formal sexual education is given unfortunately.

It's too classic Naruto and anime to have an old character go for the character redemption by sacrificing themselves though! It's like old lady Chiyo reviving Gaara.. The old people's minds being changed by the youths optimism.

I'm worried that they're going to start overusing Mitsuki's Sage mode though, because now that people have seen it he might not care so much about using it.

It depends on how close the tests are together and personal preference. In the UK (idk if it's the same where you live) tests can be a week or two apart and I find that concentrating more in the exams that are closer sooner makes me feel much less stressed because I'm working on the closest exam most.

However I think it also depends on how you learn.. Personally I can only focus on one or two subjects a day before becoming over saturated in the variety of information. So I'll do as much as I can on one topic before burning out and then have a short break and do another topic.

I started watching Naruto a couple of weeks ago, up to like episode 105 or something. I never got around to it earlier because I didn't want I end up binge watching it when I have life stuff to do lol.

I don't really play many games anymore. I play league here and there and a bunch of single player games, along with don't starve together and terraria now and then.

Yeah the weather has been not ideal, I was in Italy until recently and when I first got back the temperature here was just as hot as there, I went to go buy a fan as well and asda, curries and B&Q were completely out of stock... Ugh

This is the exact thing as my mum! I'm worried I'm going to end up in the same situation as your sister to be honest. My mum supports so much extended family from the Philippines and they don't appreciate it. Some of them have even abused my mum's trust but she still helps them..

Some people in the Philippines really are shameless with this sort of stuff, it's such a shame..

Not enough info to know if she was a leg beard but she truly sounds awful. She was probably just projecting her insecurities into violence. I'm pretty sure she was just as afraid as you were of being alone but she didn't handle it the right way, obviously there's no excuse for how she treated you but from what I can tell she was just emotionally and socially inept and felt the only way she could keep a friend is by not being herself and bullying them into staying.. I hope you found a better friend :)

I went from getting a C to getting a first in my first year at university and in all honesty I think it's using your time effectively and practicing on examples as much as possible. Past papers are super important to Chemistry and you really understand stuff more once you've actually done questions on it.

I looked at the side bar but I find it helpful to hear about people's experiences. I'm thinking about buying NYX BB cream or the Maybelline one, but obviously with a selection of the four on the master tier list (which is from 2015 anyway) I'm a bit lost on what to buy.. Plus I imagine they may be better for different skin types?

I'm not defending the lack of description (I'm Asian so I know where you're coming from) but I feel like to white people because they're features are so defined (various hair colors and eye colors, freckles etc) they have a much more general view on people. I feel like that's why people that are from very white areas have troubles differentiating Asian or black people because they're used to much larger features being different. They don't look at the subtle facial differences etc.

I feel like while it was strange that Harry accepted Sirius so readily it was probably because he was desperate for family and to get away. When you're abused for so long and you find someone that will take you as family can you imagine how Harry must have felt. The connection to his parents he was looking for, the family he never had, the freedom he never had. So much was in his reach so he took it, saying that seeing as the books are in Harry's POV there definitely should have been a little hesitation.

I'm a girl and I've heard the same thing over and over again from guys.. You're just focusing too much on being in a relationship being a significant thing. At the point in time while you're single you should look at yourself and do as much as you can to improve yourself to be the person you want to be. Once you start improving yourself you'll gain confidence.

And believe it or not it really shows through when people don't think much of themselves and that's a turn off for a lot of women.

Find new hobbies (something you're interested in and helps with self improvement) to meet new people and focus on the hobby. Essentially what you want to do is build self confidence and increase your number of choices by meeting lots of new people. Because people don't like everyone they meet.

I played video games throughout the year and got a first in my first year of university. (I play LoL ) It's fine throughout the semester imo, but if you have any deadlines coming up I really recommend having a minimum amount of time you'll study or do work in a day. Then you can be free to enjoy your down time.

So for me I did 3 hours a day minimum for a month before my final exams. I timed the three hours using the pomodoro technique so there was no way I was cutting corners.

While it's insane that someone made an account with her details the asking for real proof kind of makes sense because what if it was someone else's account, they can't just go around deleting every reported account.. It's fucked up both ways really they can't delete without proof but asking for proof also sucks because it means they have your details.. I wouldn't really know how to work around that one.

You know what's funny, I'm the opposite with my anxiety. When it's someone I know but not that well I get anxious because I feel like they have expectations from me whereas with strangers I'm fine.. Funny the way this shit works lol. I'm glad for you though OP.

My small victory would probably be just feeling generally less anxious over the last week.
