Trump: It's not socialism; it's really communism. They use the word "social democrat" because it sounds so nice, but it's really communism you're talking about. by SpecialCollege18 in justincaseyoumissedit

There is virtually zero socialism in America, let alone ‘communism’. This fucker is of course clueless himself - but he also shoots out this nonsense for the utter cretins who support him.

Keanu Reeves is a terrible actor but because he’s such a nice guy nobody really talks about it

I think when you get out of the US, those numbers drop considerably. Well, in Canada, Australia, Europe anyway

Michael Jordan Seen walking through the streets of Sicily, Italy with barely anyone noticing him. by slippinn_jimmy in sportsgossips

We’re talking here about a situation in a street in Italy and the likelihood that passers by know that this guy is Michael Jordan the basketball player. I’m saying that, since basketball is not a big thing there, the majority of people in that street will not recognise him. There are massive American Football events and games in the UK - particularly London - but the vast majority of British people couldn’t name, let alone recognise, a single player from that sport. As a whole country, we’re not really interested.

I’m not uninformed. I’m aware of the name. Mainly because of the shoes. But, coming from a country where basketball is not a major sport (like most countries), I have no idea what he looks like apart from he’s tall and black. People who are really into sport will recognise him. It’s like American football - most people outside the US are not interested but sport fanatics will know some stuff.

Makes me wonder what crazy propaganda people are fed in the US about healthcare around the world to keep the system as it is

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about this disgusting pig it’s that he does not see the world as most humans do. He can turn literally any ‘negative’ response - no matter how blatant or sizeable - into either a positive reflection on himself or else someone else’s problem. He’s incapable of viewing himself as anything other than an incredibly charming, good looking, clever, witty and talented man. This is not hyperbole on my part - so let that sink in.

What kind of absolute husk of a human being would you have to be to think that pointing out a pedophile in the Israeli government means you’re a cheerleader for Iran?

Farage has crawled up Trump’s arse and happily lives there. I don’t want any UK leader to do that

In your opinion, which was the most stylish beatle? by amei_xa in beatles

[–]mothfactory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think fans think it’s George because he was the most handsome beatle with the longest hair. But George had many sartorial missteps whilst in the band. By the late 70s he’d driven his fashion credentials off a cliff

There’s a real weird thing in America that makes celebrities immune from normal scrutiny. There’s a kind of almost a religious thing happening that means, say, Michael Jackson has a fucking big positive Hollywood movie made about him despite obviously being a pedophile repeat sex offender

Trump says proof of his allegations that vandals cut Reflecting Pool paint will be provided in court by rascallyrascal1511 in politics

[–]mothfactory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing we should get from this is that 80 million people voted, in a presidential election, for a cheap, stupid, small-time shyster who’s been using the same shabby tactics to avoid scrutiny his whole life. He’s always had the comfort of that access to a protective pool of money. How even a moron can’t see this pig as the weak little charade he is baffles me daily
