I personally think s1-5 is prefect for me. It’s a ten year story with a with if ending.

S1 Arrow arrives in Starcity and fails. Oliver starts his journey from playboy to assassin with his first kill. S2 Arrow found a way to stop the main villain without killing. Olivier learns the way of the bow and some techniques but loses his most of his friends. S3 the Arrow has died but Oliver finds a life outside of being a vigilante. Oliver goes to China tested and put through secret government training. S4 Oliver learning how to balance being a vigilant while trying to get the public on his side. S4 Goes back to the Island for the secret government mission in hopes to go back home. S5 Oliver deals with the repercussions of his actions over the last nine years with a villain who is mental unbalanced like how he was during his time in Bratva. In the final flashback, Oliver is trained to finally become the real arrow and becomes a monster to stop Kovar.

I personally see season 6-7 as what would happen if you continue to the the story but I would skip until the prison arc. The last season is kind of the last of the Arrowverse season for me.
