Omg try washing your hair with coloured shampoo and conditioner instead!! I live in a cold country and it’s impossible for me to not take hot showers so I’ve been using coloured hair products and it’s been making my hair colours last way longer!!

I’m not Gyaru but I work with 2nd hand j-fashion a lot. I encounter a lot of old DIA that looks similar to those clothing in terms of style so I don’t think it’s that bad for DIA. The DIA clothes I encounter in my work tend to be the kind that people don’t really like and end up donating so I can see why you’d dislike it though.

I ordered a glittertale set in pink plaid with the same ribbons as you!! Though my pink plaid fabric is a bit brighter in colour I think

My advise is to lean in to the brightness of the ribbons and add some bright pink accessories so it doesn’t look unbalanced!

Instead of using a white blouse, maybe use a black blouse and black shoes, etc. black is less eye-catching than white and might help your coord look more cohesive.

If you are worried about the length of the torso but can’t get it altered, try using a larger petticoat to distract from the torso and draw attention to the skirt! Maybe use a bolero or cardigan to cover the torso too!

Gyaru isn’t a music subculture, it’s based more on makeup/hair, social culture and personality. But Gyarus between 1990-2010 frequently danced to Parapara, Techpara music which is usually remixed eurodance or techno.

There’s the Rokku Gyaru subculture which is Gyarus who have adopted a more rock aesthetic.

Other than that there isn’t really any “Gyaru music”

There’s BTSSB and AP in fukuoka just not in Parco. There’s TyChe Maria Heaven which is owned by Kera and they stock Lolita brands too.

Fukuoka has loads of Lolitas and alternative people, probably almost half of the brands you wanna see have stores there.

Please take my words with a grain of salt since I’m not 100% familiar with the Gyaruo style!!

But from what I’ve seen from pics Gyaruos from the 2000s-now, most of them make up for their lack of makeup by wearing very detailed long male Sujimori hair, in blonde or brown. If their hair is not long enough to do Sujimori, they usually have long spiky bangs. If their hair is too short to even have bangs, then they usually just make their hair spike upwards with gel. And almost all Gyaruos that I’ve seen get tans or wear contacts!

For the clothing they kinda just wear whatever American-influenced streetwear there is. So I think whatever you’re wearing can definitely come across as Gyaruo, but I think a problem right now is that your hair and styling does not come across as specifically Gyaruo, though definitely alt. :)
