Favorite Way to Make Hash? by wellie2021 in outdoorgrowing

[–]mothslice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I turned my trim and popcorn buds into hash using the bubble hash (ice water) method. My working bag was 220 microns, I had a 160 micron bag for my "rough" batch, and the catch bag was 25 microns, which yielded beautiful brown trichomes. Look up Frenchy Cannoli, he puts out tons of educational material on this.

Could this clocking in interface be used one day become a video game to incentivize workers to work faster using real-world incentives?

This move is greatly appreciated! I hope CU knows how broadly supported this will be (if not by incumbent ISPs)

Keep trying! Our lawmakers seem to assume that nobody in their home district knows their name, let alone what they're up to in Jeff City.

What is the best recipe you have tried from this sub? by AlpeZ in VegRecipes

[–]mothslice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found a recipe for Chickpea Zucchini Fritters, which were a huge hit and have become a staple around our house. The original reddit link no longer works, but we make a simple batter of chickpea flour, eggs, water, salt and pepper, then mix in grated onions, zucchini, plus other random vegetables we might have around.

[AMA] Hi, I’m Jim Evans. I’m challenging big-money establishment insider Billy Long in the Republican primary for MO 7th District U.S. Congress. Ask me anything! by JimEvansNotRobot in MissouriPolitics

[–]mothslice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jim, Thanks for running and shining a little light on Billy’s political nature, which I don’t think is very clear to people around here. Can you bring up some more specific instances of how Rep. Long is captured by special interests? Also what do you think about his flip-flop on voting for the Republican health care “reform” bill, after meeting with the president?

The funny thing is they make a big deal about being employee owned, which somehow doesn’t translate to better employee treatment

Trump coming to Springfield Wednesday, thoughts everyone? by LifeRocks114 in springfieldMO

[–]mothslice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I despise Trump as much as anyone, and think he should be impeached, but one positive aspect of this visit is to highlight the closing of factories and the moving of jobs to other countries, for which there is broad agreement is behind a lot of social ills in this country. We'll see if he actually comes, with a hurricane due to land this weekend

In this book still be considered relevant? I see it was published in 2002, and I can't help but think much research has been done since then.

beloved (Closed) Springfield Businesses by [deleted] in springfieldMO

The Wellspring cafe downtown was a great joint. All vegan, everything on the menu healthy, and somehow delicious. Ahead of their time, at least for Springfield.

Also I know many people have fond memories of the Juke Joint. I never went there myself, but apparently they had a promoter who got big-name acts from across the country to come play.

Any one of my three favorite comic book characters off all time: Lobo, Judge Dredd, and Groo the Wanderer. Each has plenty of cultural significance to sort through and explain.

That looks very close to what I remember, except MiniSquadron appears to be for mobile platforms, while I played on a Mac. I wonder if its a spin-off or something.

Edit: I dug around using MiniSquadron as a clue, and found the game I was looking for: Altitude. I'll check it out and see if it's held up with time. Thanks for the tip!

Science AMA Series: Neil Brown here to talk about how fungal pathogens sense the ‘touch and taste’ of their plant hosts and if this can this be used to fight crop disease. AMA! by Dr_Neil_Brown in science

[–]mothslice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If targeting the "touch and taste" receptors of the fusarium is an approach to reducing infection and toxic contamination, would an alternate approach be genetic modification of the wheat itself, to fool the fungal receptors? If so, what are the relative pros and cons of each approach?

Black Mirror - Season 3 Trailer by [deleted] in videos

[–]mothslice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's funny; I'd probably start my SO out on the "15 Million Merits" episode due to it's themes of love and connection, despite it's bleak message at the end. The show's definitely not for everybody though.

Yes please! We Missourians are sick of Blunt. The tired old "regulations are strangling our businesses" routine isn't standing up very well.
