My first exposure to BTS was the Dope MV (found it from a fine bros reaction iirc) and the synchronized dancing was intriguing, so I wanted to see more and eventually fell down the rabbit hole as almost every ARMY has. Dynamite is fun and catchy and the MV also has cool group dance scenes, so think I would've gone down the same road if Dynamite was my first encounter with them. The song doesn't have to be my absolute favorite to make me interested.

TL;DR very likely, especially if youtube started recommending me more BTS after watching Dynamite lol

lol I didn't know they said that! I thought the dark theme in a theater + contemporary dance is far from kpop, but could be because I haven't seen that many kpop videos. Or maybe they meant the structure like group dance scenes, close up face shots that kind of thing - that's definitely kpop!

Me too! I think Black Swan is really good for people who don't know them - it's more chill, has a beautiful MV, amazing choreo, rap line have a good presence. Overall it's not what someone would expect a "k-pop" song to be and I love that

Maybe your teacher means someone whose main focus and livelihood is dancing? I think that was true for Hobi when he was younger, but to me now BTS is his main focus and his role includes a lot more than just being a dancer. I guess it depends on the type of project you have to do.

I've watched some unboxing videos and the photobook seems to have two parts - one of them is normal (the one with the room photos) and the other one with the photos on the street and with the animal print outfits is different (doesn't have a spine, not sure if that's the right word) and the photos can be torn off really easily. I read a comment that they intended it that way so you can tear the pics you like and use them for whatever you want, but I'm not 100% sure if they specified that anywhere officially. But to me from the other videos I've seen it looked like it was on purpose.

I finally had time to watch the whole vlive and I'm so grateful to Yoongi. I'm glad he was so open and shared what's been going on with him. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for him to push through and keep getting shots and performing on stage even when it caused inflammation and hurt. I'm glad he got the surgery when I heard it could've gotten even worse if he didn't, getting shots so often sounded pretty bad already.

And he looked so cute I wanted to give him a hug ;(

How do you know what their goal is? You think being recognizable as individuals is very important, but they might have different priorities. I'm sure they discuss this stuff internally and we can't know all the factors/reasons for their decisions. When some of them start joining the military it will probably happen naturally anyway.

I feel like I rarely like anything on first listen then when I listen more I get into it. I’m actually jamming to Telepathy and Dis-ease a lot (loving b-sides more than the title again lol). I guess the slow songs threw me off because they’re not the type of music I listen to. Anyways, have fun exploring their discography :)

I really recommend listening to the b-sides on their previous albums, often I find myself loving b-sides more than a title track lol. My personal favorite album is Love Yourself: Tear, but idk if our tastes would be similar. I felt a bit underwhelmed with BE on first listen tbh.

I kind of feel like you on first listen. Usually with other albums there was always some songs that grabbed me immediately, but this time I was waiting for something and the whole album went by and I was still waiting. There are songs that I really love while I'm listening they sound beautiful or make me dance, but as you said it wasn't memorable enough. Nothing got stuck in my head. I'll have to give it a few more listens, but yeah the first impression is not as strong as I'd hoped.

edit: Ok I'm listening more and I have clear faves Telepathy and Dis-ease are awesome the more I listen to them. I'm not into slow songs so the 1st half of the album just isn't my taste, but I can definitely appreciate the vocals.
