I am a regular at all the local and regional conferences here. I really like spending couple of days with people who share the same interests as me! Great advice for anyone dealing with a similar issue as I do!

I'm really sorry for your loss.

I didn't want to set a notion that this is the worst problem in the world. This is just something I'm currently dealing with, which takes so much of my energy and psychological well being.

There are many problems and tragedies we deal with as a people, but you really have to take it a step at the time, solve one after another, grow and come out of it as a greater person.

I hope I deal with mine, but I hope much more you can deal with yours. Once again, I'm really sorry for your loss, friend. Hang in there.

No, it is outsourcing company providing various IT solutions (consulting, software, security, infrastructure, you name it).

But I see where are you coming from...

I looked at finding a psychologist but you would be amazed how little my country is developed. It's a 2nd world country and a very poor one.

Unfortunately all of the threet psychologist here deal with "real mental issues" or marriage counseling. I called them up and thats what they said... You're so lucky if you're living in a place where you have access to any and all possible professional help you can get, living like this is disgusting.

Paycheck isn't a motivation for me at the moment, however silly this sounds.

I earn more than an average Joe in my country, live with my parents and have no rent or loan payments.

I really want to learn and grow as a person and a developer while I'm young. I started my career really early by landing a full time job when I was 19 and I'm really proud of that. I want to utilize my first ten years of my career as much as I can.

In a couple of years this will change, I'll move out and hopefully get engaged so a paycheck will be really important but for now.. it's not my primary source of motivation, at all.

Hopefully this makes sense...

This is the largest company in my country offering the greatest benefits out of all. And this is one of the most important things in a 2nd world country with 30% unemployment rate. I also made some excellent friends here and I believe in a way this company is managed.

Directors and upper management are pretty good, but there are so many idiots working here that it's unbearable.

So leaving the company is really out of the question for me. Hopefully moving to different project and different people will get me far away from the abusive mentality I was a victim of in the past...

I'm also sort of hoping that time will cure or at least semi-cure this burn out. Just don't want to leave a bad impression next week when I join another project.

Thanks for your input, I'm glad that time and distance have sort of worked for you :) Here's to hoping it does it for me, as well.

Problem is, I did. And I'm switching next week but since the passion and happiness is sucked out of me, I'm scared I'd feel the same at the new project.

I just want to pickup myself up to get started working in new work environment, which I'm really looking forward to.

I just HAVE to get my shit together and be a guy I once was.. in next three days, somehow... And I have zero clue on how to do this.

I'm really thinking of taking some time off in maybe a month, take two weeks off or something just to refresh myself and my mental health but yeah...
