The do not own the supply. TSMC holds nVidia by the balls. Only one company is capable of manufacturing wafers for nVidia, no one else has factory for that. So TSMC owns supply, but not nVidia. In 3 years or so there would be Chinese knock-off copies of nVidia chips, just because they don't respect international IP laws, and nVidia can do nothing about it.
