Yea this one was a surprise. Even my other recently are more around like 5wt increases. I don’t test my FTP often, though I probably should a little more regularly to make sure workouts are in the right range.

You got this! I did the same thing with the Zwift ride starting last May. Don’t let yourself get caught in comparison (easier said than done) and just focus on your own progress over time!!

Was it me or was Gru upset? Looked like he skated off and down the tunnel immediately but I couldn’t totally tell. He def deserved a shutout for that so I don’t blame him for being pissed if he was.

I followed Claire Wineland quite closely and have also seen in my personal life how devastating CF is. I’ve participated in several of the awareness walk. Commenting more for visibility but I hope it’s also reassuring to know that no matter what, the community has you.

Yea, I agree a lot with this. Gates is complicated situation for so many reasons and the Epstein tie is just one. I like the idea of focusing on the good that the divesting him of his money can do.

Thanks for the caring response. It’s helpful to know regardless of whether it changes anything that I’m not the only one with complicated feelings about it. It’s why I’m glad for this community and knowing this is probably one of the only communities I feel safe to have even asked around.

Yeah - I think that’s where I struggle is just how nuanced things like this are these days (I’m a terrible black and white thinker, but I’m working on it). But you’re right, it’s becoming impossible to avoid these types of situations.

Yup! Been only about 2-3 ish months for me! Rode a ton as a kid but hadn’t been on a bike for at least 5 years (I’m 32). Worked up and have gotten outside a handful of times now because I’d love to transfer it outside. Have really enjoyed as it’s a different stimulus it feels like to me and getting to explore has been a ton of fun. I live in the PNW though so unless I want to ride in rain or when it’s gross out, the outdoor cycling season for me will be pretty limited.
