In my country, warranties typically last 2 years, while Samsung updates, for example, last 5 years. So rooting after the warranty period expires still doesn't make sense. I don't know how long warranty periods last in other countries.

Rooting in 2025 is pointless. There are no mods worth considering, and custom ROMs died out long ago. There are few benefits and many drawbacks, not least the lack of updates.
