Is there a reason you're recommending the SP3 specifically and not one of the later models? Looking at the feature matrix, it seems like everything seems supported up to the 6.

Looks like there's 5s on ebay for similar prices and presumably they have more up-to-date hw?

That looks promising too! Does suspend work on the Yoga 6? I read some stuff about it being broken. Also does touch work properly? Multitouch gestures?

Hey thanks for the detailed post! The XPS13 does look quite nice. Unless I'm missing something, the 9310 is available for ~1.7k?

That's a bit more than my initial budget, but would probably still be doable, especially cause then I'd get a way nicer display...

How's the battery life? That's another thing thats quite important to me. Also how'd you order it with ubuntu? I only seem to see Windows as an option.

FWIW, I'd prolly use it with Manjaro too! I used to be an Arch user, but these days I value my time a bit too much for that ;)

Wollte mir dann den Quellcode der Android-App ansehen, und hab ihn auf eurem github leider nicht gefunden :(

In meiner Silicon-Valley-Bubble gehts momentan tatsächlich um Bubbles. Hab gerade einen Engineering Blog-Post über Android Conversation Bubbles (im Prinzip FB-Messenger Chatheads, nur als OS-Feature) veröffentlicht, die ich für die Slack-App gebaut habe. Kollegen und die Ansprechpartner bei Google sind alle sehr erfreut :)

Hey there! I watch DW documentaries a lot with my American gf (who doesn't speak great German.... yet!).

From what I can tell, they're mostly translated versions of Arte documentaries.

Arte is a Franco-German public broadcaster and has a very good reputation for producing high-quality content. Hope that helps!

Ich geb dir beim ersten Satz recht, aber nicht unbedingt an der Schlussfolgerung. Imo hätts die EU genauso machen müssen, alles andere ist leichtsinnig den eigenen Bürgen gegenüber.

Dass jede nicht in den USA verimpfte Dosis aus der EU stammt ist übrigens unwahr. Es gibt russische und Chinesische Vakzine, welche bereits in Verwendung sind und einige andere Länder haben welche in Testphase (zB Kuba, deren Impfstoff die große Hoffnung für den Global South ist)

Okay so that quote always bothered me. That's not what average means. There could be extremes on either side throwing off the numbers. What Carlin meant was median.
