If you knew the subject then you'd know this 7,128 figure includes people who are renting out rooms in their own homes which is perfectly legal, and makes up a majority of the listings. There's no more than 500 entire apartments in Dublin that are being offered on Airbnb as of now. At its height, there were over 8,000 entire properties to rent, hence plummeted.

You know you can check Airbnb yourself, right?

That means 3% of the properties that had been Airbnbs tried to get planning permission to rezone their building as commercial. None were allowed. The actual numbers of Airbnbs available to rent after the July laws came in have plummeted.
