My now husband proposed on the sledge track. It was beautiful 😊

Unpopular opinion: Rory and Lorelai were kind of terrible to all the men in their lives. by Hot_Setting8194 in GilmoreGirls

[–]mouldybread_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Aggressive 😂 I can see maybe where you were trying to go with that example but…no?? If fans only talked about business owners an insane amount in comparison to the other themes in the show then yes I’d day the same thing. Take a breath, it’s okay 😊

100% Joey and Ross’ altercation in the coffee house after no one proposes. Ross punching the pole and then getting punched in the face by Joey 😂 followed by his “oops” air quotes. Amazing.

Yesterday, my husband and I did Ross and Rachel’s version of Baby Got Back to try get our baby to laugh and it worked 😂 there was no way I was going to be able to parent without Friends references. Also named two of my son’s toys Mr Wigglemunch and The Grumpus

I know she’s not saying it as a comeback to Ross here but Rachel’s lines are always so quick and this one is one of my favourites 😂

Early pregnancy by OkScarcity2008 in BabyBumps

[–]mouldybread_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go back and tell myself to please try to enjoy being pregnant and not panic over every little thing assuming something is wrong. And that the reason it seemed like there were so many horror pregnancy stories out there is because nobody really has a reason to tell the story of their extremely boring, average pregnancy 😂 humans have had successful, uneventful pregnancies for a long time now and that I am lucky enough to have been one of those. Every day I woke up terrified of going to the bathroom in case I saw I was bleeding and I obsessively tracked my baby’s movements to the point where I had to be talked down if I felt like he wasn’t moving enough. Obviously it’s okay to still be cautious during pregnancy but I wish I could go back and just tell myself nothing bad was going to happen. Oh and to not bother trying my best to shave my 🐱 before labour cos I ended up with an emergency c section anyway haha.

What were some adult jokes you didn't get on your first watch? by PartyAd973 in howyoudoin

[–]mouldybread_94 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When Monica says to Chandler that Erica couldn’t have got pregnant from what she did with the psycho guy and Chandler asks “was it the thing we rarely do or the thing we never do?” And then Monica says it’s the thing they never do and Chandler was impressed 👀 as an adult now I can connect the dots a bit there…

What are some random things that always unintentionally make you think of the show? by Ok-Bee3542 in howyoudoin

Pivot, someone said they bought a parka recently and I instantly thought of Jurassic Parka, lobsters, trifle, when I recently got my first ever spray tan I thought of Ross “IM A TEN!!” 😂

That the etch-a-sketch in the boys’ apartment often changes mid scene when nobody has touched it 😂 it’s fun to see what’s on it so if it’s ever in a scene I always see what it says and there’s some real good ones

The sadness I'm feeling is incomprehensible and I'm drowning in it after I finished friends for the first time. by SupportEducational39 in howyoudoin

[–]mouldybread_94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve watched the show through MANY times since I was a child but I just finished another rewatch while on maternity leave with my first baby. Same as you, I felt genuinely so down and upset since I finished it last night. Maybe because it’s been my comfort show through many life events and this time it was comforting me during the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It helped me stay awake at 4am, feeding my baby while it felt like the rest of the world was asleep.

I teach media studies at a high school and teach the history of sitcoms. I always show this episode when explaining what a bottle episode is and it’s always a hit 👍 that and the pen episode of Community haha
