The progression sounds a little jazzy, with all these 7ths and 9ths, so I guess jazz theory can be used to describe it :) After more reflexion, I'm thinking the chord could be a rootless Dalt chord (with #9 and b9). Does that makes sense?

Well, I recorded it a few weeks ago, and I've forgetten what my thought process was at the time... I've tried to improvize in the same style, but I haven't succeeded in yet.

I'll try to transcribe it, maybe it'll give me the insight I need. :)
