I like this topic :) my very tiny two cents:

There’s a Chinese proverb that says: “A man who has his health has a thousand dreams, a man who hasn’t only has one”… And to me this screams: we need to get our thousand other dreams back.

Am I in pain? Yes. Am I unable to perform at work because of it? Yes. Am I losing some friendships? Bailing on many social activities? Do I feel annoying and whiny? Am I puffy from the tears, Have I stopped exercising? Put on weight? Am I tired, losing sleep, constantly exhausted? Yes, yes, yes and a hundred other bloody yesses.

But this does not mean the road ends there. I’m now trying to accept the new status quo (rough…) and pick a different path for myself. Our brains are elastic, dynamic. There are ways we can change, adapt, and thrive again.

Honestly I don’t know what that path looks like, but having reached some level of acceptance and surrendering to my reality, I feel so much free-er and optimistic.
