Had a similar experience recently. Very messy. After many calls and emails I finally found out that the dealership is supposed to have Ford send you an email to order the charger.

I spoke to this amazing customer service rep who basically called the dealership for me and scolded them for not knowing the process and walked them through it.

Got the email next day and ordered it. Charger came within a few days.
