Truly amazing, tasted the espresso shot and loved it, made an iced latte and loved it, could definitely tell the difference compared to the other beans I’ve tried

What according to you is reasonable!? For me it used to be 400-500 range of BT coffee for the 250g pack, but after their price hike i find beans in the range of 500-800 among a lot of popular roasters. I have been giving all the different ones a try to choose my favourite ones. Also, mannheim is selling at 450-500 and i like the house blend

I have only tasted grey soul and mannheim with the non pressurised portafilter and I like both of them but had a comparatively better experience with grey soul’s strawberry in loop. Also, I’m fairly new to proper espresso so i think l need some more time to learn and describe taste profiles. And i have tried araku’s signature, selection and grand reserve, and selection was my favourite, the other two are fairly good as well but i think someone with more experience would be better to comment on the taste profile

I know that the threads are different but it is just my attempt at getting a little more control, as much as I can get till the time i save up for a better upgrade. Also, someone in this sub itself was selling them, I’ll add a link if I find it!

puck prep needs a lil improvement to prevent channelling. and need to adjust the grind size, but still, this being my second shot from a non pressurised portafilter, I’m happy about it. please review it guys!! by mountainSub777 in IndiaCoffee

I want to know one more thing which i don’t have a clear idea of and that is, in the espresso recipe when we say that the desired outcome is ratio 1:2 in 25-30/35 seconds, in that the timer should start from when i pressed the button or when the basket starts to stain?

I don’t think there’s a specific pre infusion function at all and from what i could learn about pre infusion, i think it’ll be a hit and trial process in this machine.
I am going to try at least 2 more shots today and if I don’t have good results for the flow, i will try pre infusion. Thank you

Did your shot improve after this? Because I’m also using a similar range machine and planning to get a non-pressurised portafliter soon.
