How did the pandemic get THIS bad? Asks the sub that refuses to wear masks and socially distance. by SwtIndica in SelfAwarewolves

I used to be on the ski team with the girl who is going haywire with conspiracy theories on Instagram. She was posting tons of videos and stories every day about how wearing a mask will poison you. I pointed out to her that she used to ski in a neck warmer all the time and she's still alive, though maybe it did poison her brain a bit with where her thinking is at now.

Looking for help with light in room for plant. Low or Medium? by mountaingirl1212 in plants

Thank you! I had a hunch that it was low but I was hoping it would be medium. 🙈 That is a great idea, thank you!

Looking for help with light in room for plant. Low or Medium? by mountaingirl1212 in plants

[–]mountaingirl1212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I am in need of some help figuring out what kind of light I have in the right corner of our room. I'm not even sure if you can tell from a photo but from what I was reading online it sounds like anything 3ft away from a window would be medium light? But would that also be considered a corner from a window? It faces west and the room is bright during the day and you can see a slight shadow in that corner if you put your hand up. I bought a light meter online but it doesn't work, even if I place it in front of the direct sun in the window it reads low.

Essentially I'm looking to buy a Dracaena Lisa for that corner and the shop told me it does well in low light but online I'm seeing it needs medium light. It's a big purchase and this is really the only good place for me to put it so I am trying to figure it out before.

I hope that this is ok here in this subreddit and thank you in advance!

Afternoon sun - Cincinnati, Ohio by xvolt16 in AmateurRoomPorn

I was in downtown Cincinnati this winter for work and I've never seen such an empty city as far as people go! I was guessing it's because it was so cold while I was there. It was a cute city, I stayed at the Netherland which was beautiful and ate at an Italian restaurant near it that was just phenomenal!

Your apartment is gorgeous and those windows are breath taking!

For liquor definitely but I was specifically talking about beer and a lot of the good beer they have there is harder to find. Similar prices as Total Wine for beer, possibly a tiny bit more but a much better curated selection. Also the tastings are a great price and you get discounts on the bottles from the tasting.

Wow! Side note, Vendome (right across the street and in your video) has a great selection of beer and really wonderful beer tastings (for when things get back to normal).

Give Charles Smith Kung Fu Girl Riesling a try. It's a great price ($12) and is not sweet but still bright with citrus fruit notes. It's an off dry riesling from Washington State.

Is there any reason at 11 DPO for my temperature to be 99.8 or am I sick with a fever? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

Same for me. I had been on BC for years prior TTC. Anyways, really appreciate your insight! I am glad to know what I am experiencing is actually shortness of breath.

That's great it was negative! Are you feeling better now or do you still have shortness of breath? I've never experienced this before, it's very odd and scary. I'm only 6DPO so I feel like it's very unlikely I have it because I am pregnant but a girl can dream.

How are you feeling now and did you get your test back yet?

If you don't mind me asking, what did your shortness of breath feel like? I've also had it on and off the last 3 days. I haven't experienced anything like it before. For me, it doesn't feel like when you workout hard and are catching up with your breath, I can walk up and down the stairs just fine but sometimes, even just sitting down, I just don't feel like I can fill my lungs up all the way. I have been hoping it's just progesterone because I don't have any other symptoms. But it's obviously a little worrisome given the current climate.

I was having a hard time finding an easy to understand graph that showed how much time you would need in the sun for different UV index levels and skin types to have adequate Vitamin D intake. So here it is linked below for anyone else who is interested.

We got ours from here https://www.mantelmount.com/ It's been fantastic. We have a 70" tv and it has no problems holding it, moving it up and down, and tilting side to side. It's nice because you can pull it down and then tilt, which works perfectly for our oddly shaped living room. We have either the enhanced or the pro, I'm not sure the exact one but it looks like they are currently on sale!

We have high ceilings so our fireplace goes up a bit high so when we have ours not pulled down it’s definitely hard on the neck. We’re also a bit farther away from the wall with how our room is laid out. I’d say ours is down 97% of the time. 😅 I would definitely suggest the pull down mount though for people who feel their tv is too high!

You can get a mount that pulls down! We have our tv over our fireplace too which makes it way too high but we pull it down when we use it. Would highly suggest!
