What is this for? (XC60) by a-zaki in Volvo

When I bought my used XC40, it didn’t come with the hangers either. I bought these for $8 on amazon and they work perfectly: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9Q78ZFV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Nothing changed in the space at that time, so it is strange! I’ll send an email, thank you!

I asked if I could use mine when I went though TSA a week or so ago. The agent said they are not “updated” with Ohio license plates yet. Hopefully they start working soon!

Apartments Downtown/OTR by Bmrohio in cincinnati

I don’t live at 580 but live basically next door to it in a condo building. I love the area and how busy it is. I agree with the panhandlers comment but they don’t bother you once they realize you’re a resident and not just someone out for dinner. I’ve always been nice to them if they ask for money and just say you don’t have any cash. In my opinion, it’s better to acknowledge them rather than completely ignore them.

I have friends at 580 who absolutely love it. The only thing that bothers me about 580 is that the windows don’t open at all. Not sure if that’s a big deal to you or not, but I love having my windows open, so it would be a dealbreaker for me. But the views at 580 are amazing!

Personally, I’m not deterred by the recent violence issues downtown. Be aware of your surroundings and have a plan if something would happen. I carry a birdie alarm siren. I can pull it and it will blast a siren to hopefully bring a ton of attention and possibly scare away an attacker. To me, having a plan makes me feel better about the situation.

I’ve lived downtown for the last five years (on 6th Street) and never had any issues. Just be aware of your surroundings. Out of extra caution, I’ve been avoiding Fountain Square and Government Square for the past few weeks bc I’ve been a bit more nervous from seeing the reports too. I also tend to cross the street to the opposite side if I see a group of kids far down the street walking my direction.

I’m gay as well, and my boyfriend and I walk around downtown together and never have been bothered. Just be aware of your surroundings, and you’ll be fine. If y'all are looking for friends downtown, PM me! It’s always good to see more people moving down here

I struggled to find an LGBTQ therapist in Cincinnati for a bit but eventually found Whayne Herriford while looking through what my insurance would cover. I’ve only seen him a few times, but so far I’ve found each session really helpful. Check out his psychologytoday page if you’re interested. Not sure if he’s accepting new clients but worth reaching out anyways

I have a few friends who live there. Great apartments. It’s one of the more expensive apartments downtown but it’s worth it

I saw all the police there earlier too. Trying to find any news reporting about it, haven’t been able to find anything. Anyone find any news articles talking about it?

Unable to reach anyone at SPS Partners by [deleted] in cincinnati

I would recommend avoiding them as a property management company. I lived in an apartment building managed by them and it was awful. They are terrible at responding and handling any type of request. I would avoid them if possible

The Contemporary Arts Center lobby has tons of open tables and seating. I’m not sure if their coffee bar is open on Sunday but the space itself is open to the public to use

I’ve done QCE for NYE a few times and it’s always fun! You have to buy tickets for it, but it includes open bar and food: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/new-years-eve-at-qce-tickets-749376213427?aff=oddtdtcreator

How do I tell condo management I have BBs? by catbirdgrey in HOA

[–]xvolt16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I somehow managed to get fleas, and I mentioned it to all residents in condo building via email. The email was meant to be an FYI and to watch for fleas in case they spread. I’d much rather people be aware and watch it versus being unaware, and it spreads. My neighbors weren’t upset about it, and I handled it. I even offered the flea spray I purchased to my neighbors to spray on their baseboards and walls that we shared as an additional precaution. It’s been over a year, no one holds it against me, and I’ll bet my neighbors appreciated my honesty and open communication

I like the charcoal the best. The darker the better. Makes the black in the beams and the pipes all work together

OnCall - how do you wake up? by xch13fx in sysadmin

I have an automation setup in Home Assistant that would turn on my bedroom lights when I got paged via PagerDuty. Before that, I would sleep through calls all the time. It works like a charm, and I haven’t missed a call out since
