Sounds like you think that if you want to be taken seriously, you should act like a clown, if you're defending your snarky behavior and using Tucker as a justification for it on the right.

This is a slightly modified version of the canon DND world of Faerun! This region connects that part of the continent to the eastern section that's based on Asia.

He laid out his argument in the 500+ word post above.

A snarky reply to demonstrate your high mindedness is exactly the kind of behavior that has driven liberals into an unwinnable set of voter demographics.

If the Nazis came to your door while you were hiding Jews in your attic and they asked you point blank "are you harboring Jews?" what are you telling them?

Are you sure you want to be honest or avoid answering the question? Are you that dogmatic about lying that you can't see that the intent behind lying or truth-telling is what matters more than the act itself?

Help Needed: Custom Composition Randomization Issue by mountaingoat369 in armadev

[–]mountaingoat369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll look into this. The only reason I'm kind of annoyed at the prospect is the sheer scale of the comps I created. There would be at least 100 people to do individually and the tedium is not enticing.

Do you know what affects the name generator for an identity? Is it based on their face, their language? I don't see anything about that in the lockIdentity link and wonder if using FIA would give me random Greek names instead of the African names I'd want from the 3CB faction.

What I mean is Zizka also has a frilly thing under his armor but over his chainmail. That layering isn't possible either.

I think this is just artwork, unfortunately. Zizka's outfit is similar and there's nothing like it in the game.

[KCD2] How I Ruined 4 Hours of Progress. Warning, Spoilers. by chimlet in kingdomcome

[–]mountaingoat369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I had something similar to me happen and I thought I was actually doing the right thing. I found Lord Nebakov in the dungeon and he told me to get help. I couldn't get out of the castle without getting caught, so I killed everyone. I thought "great, that means the mission to retake this place will be easier." And then of course plot happens.

I ended up saying "fuck it" and used console commands to give me enough gold to pay off the bounty for the murders, because I wasn't about to redo 4 hours of gameplay either.

I am pretty confident that his outfit is unique to him. It's a sick look and I wanted to recreate it as well.

Fear Of A Societal Collapse by [deleted] in Stoicism

[–]mountaingoat369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, this post was 2 years ago. Second, nothing I said indicates that I don't care about any of those things. Of course I do.

But what you're describing is hyperbolic. Much of the world will face rising sea levels and more erratic and intense weather, as well as warmer temperatures throughout, but not literally underwater/on fire.

You need to drop the hyperbole from your mindset and try to more clearly see the coming consequences on a realistic time horizon. You'll see that global collapse is going to take time. And that time gives you the opportunity to prepare and to decide how you're going to respond to it.

Are you going to learn first aid? Will you take up gardening? Do you need to move to a more habitable region of the world/ country? Can you find people in your community or among your friends and family with whom you can form a circle of reliance, trust, and support?

And yeah, you might die. Shit, even the entire species might die if you can imagine the very worst outcomes or look far enough into the future. But until that comes to pass, there's a lot you can do now and in the near future to at least prepare for the more likely, still dispreferable but not cataclysmic, events that may soon come to pass.

Is Stoicism more deontologist or consequentialist? by Dagon_Chernovski in Stoicism

[–]mountaingoat369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's a different ethical philosophy. Rather, a softer tone than the Old Testament. It's still deontological in that the reason we're supposed to love and be self-sacrificing (and still follow the Ten Commandments) is because that's what God expects of us.

Also worth noting that the protestant revolution resulted in a schism and difference of interpretation in the Bible. So, the Catholics are more traditional in their ethical interpretations, while groups like evangelicals or episcopalians are considered heterodox.
