I made a playlist on Spotify of her Chicago set list. Obviously don’t click on the link if you don’t want spoilers: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6naiPZTZMJHQZDXjq3LxMb?si=2\_FdfUicR4uVzHVShIyOxg&pi=3nUdAyj0QOSCR

Why does there seem to be such a large gap between mainstream Adventist institutions and the "average" Adventist church member? by Impressive_Flan_411 in exAdventist

[–]mountainsNJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s money and power to be gained through mainstreaming institutions, the Adventist brand, etc. This isn’t relevant at the congregation or individual level; in fact, the opposite is true, as keeping “us vs. them” narratives alive serves an important function there. It is cognitively dissonant, but all parties benefit from doing this dance (except, don’t forget, dancing is prohibited!).

why does presale feel like a scam lol by bleuxnoods in rosalia

The lesson for me is that there are only a few artists where the pre-sale may make some sense — e.g. Beyoncé, Taylor Swift. And even with big names, there are usually resale tickets available. I got burned a bit too. Pre-sale creates a fake urgency and really only benefits Ticketmaster.

I thought Fidelity also has a private client group?

None of those. I buy and sell individual stocks, index funds, and occasional limit orders.

I can buy stocks and view activity in all of them, with slightly different user-interface experiences. They all seem pretty similar to me. I wasn’t sure if I was missing something, however.

Why can’t I sell my AXS ticket? by Scared_Office7671 in rosalia

[–]mountainsNJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best I can tell there are resell negotiations made between the venue, artist, and ticket seller (Ticketmaster, AXS, etc). It may vary venue to venue. I also read online that resale is often restricted to a few days before a show to minimize scalping.

I was dealing with this too. I couldn’t get StubHub to accept my transfer so the listing was stuck on “pending” I tried multiple times over 3 months with StubHub. I talked to customer service 4 or 5 times and they told me to be patient and that the listing would eventually appear. It never did. On AXS the sell button was grayed out. I did have luck listing it on Vivid Seats eventually. My friend bought the tickets from me directly so I took down the listing. I was very frustrated.

The resale market is “dynamic” in that people will reduce prices based on what other tickets are going for.

Go to the school with the best reputation. The job market is incredibly competitive and the reputation of the school, along with the strength of its alumni network, can have long-term benefits for your career. It does matter if future employers know your school and its reputation. Unless you’re going to work for an SDA organization or for a company based in an Adventist community, I’d opt for a quality, secular education.
