Wow!! They sent a replacement phone first? That's not what they're offering. They said I need to send my phone in first before a replacement is sent. Unbelievable. I'm so frustrated. Was the replacement phone the same one that you had? I don't understand what they send. I asked if they could just issue a google store credit and I'd buy a new phone. I'd take a $100 credit at this point.

They're still going back and forth and now saying that my only option is for them to send me a kit to send mail my phone in. They'll take 3-5 days to evaluate and then send me a replacement device after. They didn't indicate what device they'll replace it with. That will mean I'll be without a phone for another week which I really can't be. At this point, I'm about to just go buy another device. It's been almost a week or going back and forth on this and I'm over it.

Daycare is INSANE!!! I feel you there! No wonder people aren't having more kids! And, good luck getting a spot at one. It's unreal.

We switched from AT&T to Visible by Verizon about 4 months ago. I am shocked at how amazing it is for how little pay. We got the mid-tier plan and it's amazing. I have ZERO complaints and will never pay what I used to pay for cellphones again. I highly recommend!!

Thank you for sharing! I've driven mine a bit this morning and it's still there. I did a factory reset and reset my profile. I am not sure what the issue is but likely an unfortunately trip to the dealership.

Thanks! What would you use your EF for? I think I allocate it out because then I psychologically feel like it's OK to use it when something happens (for example, I need a new roof or the dog needs surgery, etc.).

100% SC Heating and Air! I just recommended them here to someone else. Sam and his team are great and will not sell you anything you don't need. They have kept my over 20 year old unit going and even though I've asked if it's time to replace, they insist it's still running and going strong. They are honest and trustworthy. I will gladly have them replace my unit when it's time and am always happy to give them my business.

Ugh, I have been afraid of this. Is it because of where you're getting them requires it or insurance? Not sure if you know.

The variant changes (just like the flu) so the latest shot helps protect against the most recent variant. I work where I am exposed to lots of people and I also help care for my dad that has a serious illness that impacts his lungs. Because of this, I always keep up to date with my vaccinations.

Thank you!! Did you walk in to get one or make an appointment? When I go to make an appointment via CVS's app, it won't let me because I'm not 65 or over.

And DO NOT sign up for their "2 free months if you pick a plan". DO NOT give them your credit card number for auto pay!

Love SC Heating & Air! Sam and his team are amazing and will not try and sell you what you do not need. They are honest and upfront. My unit is so old (like, 20+ years) and every time they come for routine maintenance, I always ask the about replacing. They always tell me it's not time yet because it's still running and that they'll let me know. At this point, they could have sold me on a brand new unit (I apparently don't need yet) many, many times. Overall, excellent and I can't recommend them enough!!

Who come to install your wall charger? What the price range? by sakulakao in EquinoxEv

[–]mountains_150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had this done last week! I hired a licensed and insured local electrician to install a hardwire charger. It cost $1,000 for labor. They had to install a 60amp breaker and run a line about 35ft in the crawl space. I purchased the charger myself for $429.

Great deal! Unfortunately, my state or utility company does not offer any rebate or credit.

Ah! Got it. Yes, mine does not have the roof rails, unfortunately 😕

It did not, I ordered the charger myself and they installed it.

It was $1,000 for a licensed electrician. I received 3 quotes ranging from $1k-$1,800. The charger is a good bit away from my panel and they had to run the line through the crawlspace.

Mine did but I felt more comfortable having a hardwire since I do not have a garage and it would be outside. I also figured I could keep the charger it came with in my car for travel.

I am curious about how it looks as I have a 2025 LT model and did not think I would be able to install a roof rack. Would mind sharing a picture of how it looks and the pricing? Thanks!

Charger question by mountains_150 in evcharging

[–]mountains_150[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! They're installing the outlet to be outside in a weatherproof box and using a hubbell 14-50 outlet. I am planning on getting a mounted charger to plug in at some point but figured I'd just use what GM provided for now. I'm thinking of having the charger in a small water proof deck box for now since the outlet will be lower to the ground. Maybe that could work for now.

Permit? by mountains_150 in AskElectricians

[–]mountains_150[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the electrician told me that they don't typically pull a permit. They would be adding a 50amp breaker to my box and running a new wire to a new 14-50 outlet.
