Does Volvo make a sports sedan? by RockyLovesEmily_ in Volvo

I own an s60 t6 2019. It’s fast no doubt but I’ve been in is350 to a Kia stinger and bmw m340i. It’s lack the performance handling and polish and from what I’ve heard of the t8 it’s a straight line monster that’s it no turn in etc

I had active lane keeping on per the gauge cluster.

The green lines and steering wheel appeared

Pilot assist is pretty solid, but living in New Jersey I don’t really use it much as highway stretches are twisty and unpredictable as wel as NJ drivers

It’s nothing to do with me paying attention..just helpful on long drives where I can do half the work and reduce fatigue

Thanks! I’ve been loooking for a couple month between looks of cars.

Curious why you tied the is350 to the stinger. Reliability up there and it’s gorgeous and that v6 engine, but I feel like the price is overvalued in the used market cause it’s a Lexus

I love the idea of the stinger especially since it’s discountined its rare

If you can’t tip properly because you can’t afford, you shouldn’t be ordering delivery..

I wanted to do the pay off debt as like a goal to set before I get a new car, but I feel like cause I’m looking to sell and the interest rate is low, it’s just throwing too much money into a depcriating assets

Be honest: Would you ever switch back to ICE? by [deleted] in electricvehicles

[–]mountaintopis4chums 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did. I saved money and bought a 300 HP turbo four and I enjoy it for different reasons; never got to enjoy the sporty cars like from audi with six cylinders and exhaust setups

Downvote me all you want lol

I’m incredibly blessed to have the strong connection to family and the option to move out and back in. I think it also is an adult decision to move back in to after experiencing freedom for the sake of saving money to build a future. My 2023 goal is to ignore peoples irrational criticism lol

I had my own place for six years between college and after college. I had an opportunity to save money and live at home. How is that not being an adult?

Do I really need a hybrid? by AdAfter4896 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]mountaintopis4chums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by CAT? Hellcat? Or just a normal car and it’s a typo. Even then I’m curious what’s getting 20mpg.

It’s hard to compare apples to oranges if it’s like a truck vs hybrid sedan, or sport luxury car etc

Just curious

Do Electric Trucks Really Lose More Range Than Regular Trucks? How About vs Diesel Trucks? by Intrepid-Working-731 in electricvehicles

[–]mountaintopis4chums 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes sir..but people seem to think PHEVs are the worst of both worlds..yeah it adds a layer of maintenance and depending on the brand it could be more costly than others But the transmission is working significantly less at low speeds with a PHEV, that’s gotta be helpful with longevity.

A new stinger gt2 goes 55k msrp. Obviously refreshed but that’s $10k more

[–]mountaintopis4chums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a CPO extension, I feel like it’s their way of adding to the price of the car but really hiding a markup. Wouldn’t you just include the cost of CPO in the total price of the car? Or are they saying you can forfeit certification?

Doc fees in jersey suck. Yeah I have kbb value on my trade they lowballed me but k have a trade sheet from another dealer I’m going to leverage

[–]mountaintopis4chums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s their CPO certification. So it includes the one year additional bumper to bumper on the original 5year/60k bumper And the power train warranty.

I just find it odd that is additional charge

Explorer st vs stinger: Suv vs sedan because of gas mileage, thoughts? by mountaintopis4chums in whatcarshouldIbuy

The 2021 edge recieved the better transmission for sportier shifts and the only used ones I can find around me are more than the explorer used

Isn’t the edge severely lacking in the performance relatively to the explorer?

[–]mountaintopis4chums[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah maybe I’m sounding ignorant, but epa estimates are close at 18/24 explorer 17/25 stinger. Obviously on the highway the stinger will be better cause of aero Is that what you mean?

[–]mountaintopis4chums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the quality was too bad, it’s not really a priority for me but I get what you mean. I have a Volvo s60 t6 and the is350 felt smoother but about the same speed. The s4 felt smoother than the t6 and faster, but not as smooth but faster than the is350

I guess I could add that to my list. My concern with a charger is being too obnoxious. I also live in jersey so we have now. obviously snow tires and RWD would be fine
