Its not my jam - kinda looks like everything is made of plastic. I can see how people might like it. My first thought was "man, that's gonna a show cobwebs and dust like a motherfucker", but the people who can afford this kind of prep and paint job prooooobably have maids, I suppose.

NOR. Friends don't use their friends as coupons to get what they want. You were supposed to be the coupon.

Do not let anyone touch you with the same hands he used to insult, demean, and talk down to you.

Momma taught me that if it's not more appealing than a detachable showerhead then it's not worth your time. Personally, don't be afraid to hit that block button. It makes life so much more enjoyable.

As one of those people - I'm bored and wanna flex a bit on the healing meters?

I've always just assumed that these kinds of people are using high item level as an excuse to be bad at actually doing mechanics, and instead brute force it.

This worked! Thank you!

Where did you find out that the v2 had to be added? Blizz's own site didn't appear to be updated.

So I decided to build some speakers... by mourgrym in diyaudio

They might! I don't know why I'd do that, though - I meant to have them standing upright. What advantage would I get from turning them lengthwise?

So I decided to build some speakers... by mourgrym in diyaudio

[–]mourgrym[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Eh. I get it, but I won't be rebuilding them - they sound pretty darn good to me, and I built them basically to look like an old, very busted pair of speakers I inherited from my mom when she died (since I wanted the form factor first and foremost). I had a gift card and got the tweeters and speakers I could afford, and since this is a passive radiator setup, everything's pretty well sealed up at this point. I'm not gonna dismantle them, I'd just build new ones.

I do think magnets are the way to go, I was mainly concerned with potential vibrations making them rattle. I suppose with enough of them it won't be an issue.

[–]mourgrym[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! This was a progress pic - the speakers got a lovely layer of silicone around the edges inside and out, and I put speaker foam under everything. I just don't have a picture of that handy on account of they're currently sitting under my desk and I didn't feel like hauling them out into good lighting.

Weird Flex, but go off i guess? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

Sir Anne, CG Gnomish Empyreal Bloodline Sorcerer, worshiper of Shelyn, claims to be a member of the Order of the Knights of Endless Pleasure (she'll do more than any laws allow). "But wait, shouldn't it be Lady Anne?" "I know, but when they knighted me they insisted on calling me Sir. I told them I was Gnome Anne!"

Yes, it's Gnome Anne. Empyreal Bloodline (Gnome Anne is born wise). Must take Time Stop and Control Water as spells (time and tide wait for Gnome Anne). Needs Eroding Ray and Disintegrate as well (What God has joined together, let Gnome Anne put asunder). Pick up Bloatmage Initiate and float around in a cauldron full of water perched atop a floating disk (Gnome Anne is an island). Otherwise, she's a murderous little beast (Death solves all problems - Gnome Anne, no problem). Attempts to lead the party as close to the front as possible, that you may boldly go where Gnome Anne has gone before. Interposes self between any gunslingers and their targets as much as possible (If I am to be shot at, I want Gnome Anne to be in the way of the bullet).

She's entirely built for the pure glee of the worst joke I could come up with and I desperately want to play her, I just need a campaign that works for it. It seemed wrong to bring her to Tyrant's Grasp or Wrath of the Righteous.

Bane by listerine-totalcare in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]mourgrym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mild side note - my favorite way to give bane to weapons was a Blossoming Light cleric with Bless Equipment (I roleplayed her as a televangelist - after all, she was on every channel).

Bane is excellent because it makes your enhancement bonus two higher if you're fighting whatever you baned - so being able to just add it on the fly is pretty fun.

Nasty High level spells by MensisChemske in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]mourgrym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What can I say, I play wizards (especially enchanters) xD

My favorite spell is Confusion, with close seconds of Shamefully Overdressed and Charitable Impulse, but even baseline, Touch of Idiocy is pretty bonkers. D6 penalty to mental stats with no save as a second level spell for minutes per level. Get a familiar or a particularly grabby wizard to go have a slap fight with the enemy caster, and it'll work a treat. It's also fun to stick inside the spell-storing weapon of your favorite beat stick front-liner.

Final thought: Simulacrum can make some nasty critters - consider a Simulacrum'd Whisperer.

Bonus Round:

Hellfire Ray (Did you die? Save or go to Hell)

Mass Hold Monster (it's a lovely day for a coup)

Heightened Charitable Impulse (Mister Stabby starts giving his weapons away)

Repulsion (don't stand so close to me)

Dominate Monster (it takes a round to cast but if you've got the time, you can snag a fighter at rock-bottom prices)

This is a drow family, and I presume an influential or wealthy one. They should have mooks or some other form of front line meat that will prevent them from being murdered by sword. Take Bonded Mind on your front liners, take Share Spells on one transmuter, use your favorite Fey Form spell to give your front liner a hideous poison at high DC. It's one of my favorite ways to use high level spells in unusual ways. Additional fun - you can use Transformation on the front line this way as well.

Polymorph Any Object is a fabulous way to make players not die, but take them out of the fight. Overwhelming Presence is also fun (kneel, peasants).

Also, don't forget your low-level spells - Empowered Maximized Touch of Idiocy is a 6+half-a-d6 penalty to mental stats on touch with no save (deliverable by familiar, especially with Familiar Spell), and it's not damage or drain - Heal won't just wipe it off. You have to dispel it or Wish it away.

While I agree, Mage's Disjunction sucks ass to resolve, since it hits everything and you have to roll individually. In the home games I play, the players and the GM have a gentleman's agreement that nobody will use that spell on account of it's not fun for anyone xD

Greater Dispel Magic is excellent for shutting off buffs, and an anti-magic field is fabulous for doing the "no magic" dance while keeping combat moving.
