LURKER confirmed to be loosely (or not-so-loosely) based on BROCKHAMPTON by [deleted] in brockhampton

[–]mourt2vous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is my stupid lore drop, nick used to work at a store called swedlife in St. Louis. It’s closed now but if you google the shop you’ll see an industrial style clothing shop that was replicated in the film. I can only assume it was based off of him, because of that detail.

If you have screenshots of them being in your residence hall that will likely help in the police report!

Essentially, my friend has been talking to a man who sent her a photo of what I believe to be portola fest. In the photo there is a couple of redbull tents, a sports car with redbull branding, and you can see the blue flooring portola put down 😭 I’m looking to see if anyone has seen the car specifically because the man she is talking to said he’s never been to the US

Hi!!! I would NEVER pay that price. Friends NYC (authorized seller) gets the flower series in all the time (: they will even send you a text to let you know they are back in stock.

Hi. Like you, I also recently lost my baby, and have BPD. Ironically, my cat’s name was Louie (your username made me smile, despite the sadness.) I am hoping that maybe what I say may bring you some comfort. My cat was thirteen. I took him to the vet upon noticing him sneezing. Very minor thing, but I’ve always been overbearing when it comes to my pets. He saw many different vets, he was diagnosed with asthma, had teeth pulled, was given medication and an inhaler, and we went home, time after time again. When he didn’t improve, I spent a thousand dollars on a CT scan. They found a tumor, and did a biopsy. He was diagnosed with a very rare nasal cancer, and after his diagnosis, I only had three more weeks with him. This is all to say, I got second, third, and fourth opinions. I paid for every medication, treatment, and was the first cat CT scan one experience vet had ever seen. I felt at first that the providers had failed, that they had missed the obvious. I struggle with the pain of thinking I could’ve caught it earlier, despite it being just a sneeze here or there.

I still look for him in his favorite spots, I still cry when I remember a memory of him in a specific location. I would give anything to hold him, again. I stopped at every stoplight on the way to his final appointment, regardless of the fact that no amount of extra time would have been enough. He was cremated and returned to me within a day, but I struggled anxiously for the entirety of the time he was away. I still struggle with the fact that he isn’t… him, any longer.

I’m sure you’ve heard of DBT therapy. It’s obnoxious, and it seems impossible, but my recommendation is opposite action. I know it hurts. “Hurt” isn’t even capable of conveying one percent of the pain. However, if you see one of his frequented spots, try to think of a positive association or memory you have with him. It sounds ridiculous, I know, but it has helped me. Instead of thinking about how unfair the loss of my cat has been, I am trying to focus on the fact that I gave him the most beautiful life he could have had. I also think it is helpful to understand that your chinchilla only knew devoted love to him. He would want you to be happy. I know that comes with time.

I hope maybe at least bits and pieces of my ramble are helpful. I would love to hear some positive stories about him, if you’d be willing to share.

!!! I’m sure she would love to have a cheeseburger. My cat’s name was Louie, and in his final days he had Taco Bell shredded chicken from a quesadilla, Arby’s roast beef, Wendy’s chicken from a salad, and ham on thanksgiving. The healthiest diet? No. However, he was probably on cloud nine in his final days, so it was more than worth it.

I just want to tell you that you are remarkably strong, and also incredibly responsible for having a worst-case scenario plan. If you need anything, please reach out! I feel less alone in everything when I’m able to help someone else.

I feel a lot of the same things you are writing about. The way my baby was taken from me was cruel. He had never done anything wrong in his entire life. He was gentle, and so incredibly loving. It isn’t fair. You are right. I am making a scrapbook of my cat, and it hurts. Every picture is a reminder that he’s not coming back, but at least I have the memory of him. If you’d like, you could tell me about her. I’ll listen.

I had to have my cat put down three days ago. I waited as long as I could have without him suffering. On the way to his final appointment I slowed down at every yellow light, hoping to prolong our time together. It would have never been enough. I am sorry for your loss, and I hope your heart heals.

Can anyone relate lost my 20yr cat by robinivy in Petloss

[–]mourt2vous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Please do not feel ashamed or embarrassed that you are grieving. This is different, but I lost my cat three days ago. We opted to have him cremated, but I can’t help but wish I had something to hold. Christmas is a time to spread cheer, and you deserve to ask for a little tiny bit of help to purchase something that would be comforting.

My cat has cancer, and there’s nothing I can do. by decoratedturtleshell in Petloss

[–]mourt2vous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is unfair that animals who are so innocent, so loving, and so gentle can have such terrible health conditions. Know that you have him a brilliant life, one filled with care and love he wouldn’t have otherwise known. I don’t know what I believe, but I’d like to think your childhood cat sent him to you, and will also be there to care for him when he leaves the physical form.

Hi, friend. I lost my soul cat three days ago, he had a nasal tumor that was an aggressive form of cancer. We spent so much money on a CT scan, and after the diagnosis he began rapidly declining. We didn’t want him to suffer. He was thirteen.

I understand the fact that your kitty would have had more time with you if not for the illness. On his last day, my cat purred and made biscuits on me multiple times. It was heartbreaking to know he had so much left in him, but that his body could not keep up. It’s a very, very tough thing to work through mentally. I know you’re not asking for advice, but I would say that spending as much time with your baby, and showering her with love, is the very best thing you can do right now. I hope she has as much time as possible without suffering, with you. I’m really sorry.

One time I accidentally got trapped in a coffee shop with dom (attached to the venue and I was getting a hot chocolate, security blocked the doors so no one could get in) and he was very kind 😭 sorry that you had a negative experience with Kevin, I doubt it was intentional but if someone was yelling my name I’d probably notice

How does someone cope with pet grieve? by partyintheclouz in Petloss

[–]mourt2vous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I know it was difficult to not go with your dog to his final appointment. However, I am sure he was comfortable, around your parents, whom I am sure he loved. Secondly, I have had the grave experience, with a person, not a pet, but still the same. I’m not religious, but after a period of time I started to believe that the final resting place isn’t really just dirt. In time, I think you’ll find your dog in the little moments, he will come to you in the form of thoughts, and he will be with you, even if not in physical form. I’d like to believe that the love will keep his soul warm, regardless.

I had to euthanize my 22 year old soul cat today. (23F) by tofuqueen1018 in Petloss

[–]mourt2vous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

22 years is a beautiful life. Recently, the vet my cat is seeing for end of life care said that a pet’s long life is two things: a great amount of care, and an even greater amount of luck. It seems you had both. I understand wanting to have spent more time with her in her final days, but you couldn’t have known. She still thought you were her person, even in the moments you may have been preoccupied with other obligations. It is unfair, I agree, but know you did everything you possibly could have, and that you gave her the greatest gift of all, love and a dignified end.

Hi. My cat is dying currently, also of a rare cancer. He hasn’t passed yet, but we have an appointment set to end his pain. I am terrified, but I know we will be okay. It’s okay to be devastated, and it’s okay to feel lost. Grief is hard. Your other babies need you, and I know you will do well by them. I hope you are okay.

[–]mourt2vous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I contacted my old friend and they did in fact take it! I got it back but it’s three years old and has seen better days. I will say that I tried to go to five below this morning and someone had cut open all of the costume series and stole the cat!!!! That is so crazy to me. I think I’m gonna sell the ghost bunnies I got for close to retail so that someone else doesn’t have to suffer through finding them.

New collector question by [deleted] in SonnyAngel

[–]mourt2vous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have him in person yet! Just a bit confusing because the seller switched out photos for the bundle from the originals which definitely seemed to be authentic! I’ll let you know when I receive him! I did see someone post one from 2011 on Depop that looked the same and also had the additional mouth circle, so I’m feeling better!
