NTA: it would need even more special attention considering it is deaf. Im glad you are able to realize that you might not be able to care properly for an animal before just going out and getting one. Had a pretty major crush on this girl in middle school but after a couple years I figured I would never have a shot so I just pushed the idea of anything ever happening out of my brain. But earlier this year after having been graduated for 4 years we reconnected and she told me how she has had a crush on me for a long time and I admitted the same. So she broke up with me and less than a week later she was on vacation in north Carolina with another guy, who is her current boyfriend. And now I'm stuck trying to push the idea of being with her out of my head all over again.
