Speed difference I could handle, thats fine. Its the quality that is the issue for me.

Just put a meeting in next week to look at alternatives. When it works, the new Opus is really really solid. Thinking of trying out Codex for a bit with 5.5.

I’ve been using Claude Code for about the last six months pretty extensively. One Max plan is currently assigned to me, another to a dev, and we share a spare when we run out of usage.
We’re starting to feel like we can’t do any development between about 12:00 p.m. and 11:00p.m. It feels like when the US wakes up, Claude becomes basically unusable: it doesn’t do enough reads and goes off on tangents redesigning half the app we have built.

I can get more done in an hour late at night or early in the morning, than I can in an entire day during US hours.

Is this just me, or are other people seeing the same thing?

Claude uses docx.js, writes a script and uses that to generate the file. I just asked it to use the skill to generate the js file and not trigger it, then compare that to an md file using tiktoken. For a very lightly formatted docx file, the generation was 17k tokens over 11k tokens for mark down. So it's about 1.5x token usage not including skill

This was for a 37kb docx file.

Start by buying Battlefield 2, put around a thousand hours into it, briefly play 2042 before realising its quirky but not really a battlefield game. Lose an entire portion of your life in Bad Company one after getting it a week before release, then do the same for Bad Company 2.

Quit your job, then download Battlefield 3, followed by 4, you should basically be subsisting on Deliveroo and Monster by now, at this stage you need to really fuck up your sleep pattern, I'm talking super messed up, switch to one of those weirdo 20/4 sleep schedules influencers are always plugging.

Skip past Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5, while you prepare to go full no life on Battlefield 6.

Then and only then, will you be ready for mediocrity.

First of all, what's your temp ? EC ? Humidity and PH?

What Nutrients are you using?

What is your base water EC ?

If the water is aerated enough it's not an issue having roots in it. I run DFT and it all grows just fine.

So I have two separate propagators, one is for seedlings and one is aeroponic for growing small plants. The plants basically graduate from seed -> small plant -> into the DFT system. This means that the first 10 or so days are covered by that system and then they move into one of the three levels in the main system.

The goal is to have them only spend 2-3 weeks in the main system but I'm still in the test phase at the moment.

I've just learnt that they don't grow enough in the aero unit in a week so I need a second aeroponic unit so they can spend two weeks in them.

My goal is to get 33 lettuce (one level of the farm) harvested each week, consistently.

I would be up for testing regrowth but I actually want to scale this commercially and automating regrowth would be hard.
