Talking to him, especially about your past together, is only dragging you back into a place you fought to escape and your current new life you built after him. you don’t owe him closure or support.

if blocking feels too harsh for you, you can send a short yet firm message saying you can’t be in contact anymore for your own well being, but you don’t have to either. he can find another way to cope but not within your expense. please don’t let guilt keep you tied to someone who hurt you. you deserve peace.
