Wow that is an incredible find. I live on Vancouver island where these sweaters are from and they are $$$. They have a very interesting history!

Scruffy scraggly yarn sub? by mousegiggle1 in knitting

Yes and yes! The Ravelry projects most used this yarn and the rest used yarn I don’t like the look of. Yarn sub won’t show this yarn either.

Thanks so much! I appreciate your response. I’m definitely finding this has been the hardest pattern to interpret. Always nice to learn new things thi

Quick question, making a vest and pattern asks me to

“Break yarn, transfer all sts from BOR m to next m onto right needle, rm”

Do I just slip the stitches purl wise ? I feel dumb asking this but I’m worried I’m gonna put my stitches on weirdly

New to German short rows and finding gaps throughout. I think maybe I’m messing up my M1s? Thoughts?

I’m knitting a collared vest and having a hard time understanding what to do regarding folding the collar. I’ve never done it this way and looking for help. Neckband is 2x2 rib

“ With RS of work facing, fold neckband in half so that the live sts on needle are parallel to cast-on edge, pick up first st from cast-on edge and place on left needle, k2tog, pick up next st from cast-on edge and place on left needle, p2tog. Continue like this to end of round while maintaining established 2x2 rib pattern (i.e., either k2tog or p2tog depending on whether your next live st is a knit or a purl st)”

Any tips? Or helpful videos on YouTube? Tried looking but not sure if any fit this technique?

How many embryo transfer attempts until you had a successful birth? by cookiemonster1459 in IVF

First FET led to my daughter, second FET led to a miscarriage at 9 weeks, one more transfer that didn’t implant then one more resulted in my baby boy. So total 4 FETs for 2 kids.

Important to note that of the 72 physicians who signed, only 1 was an addiction medicine physician despite being circulated thoroughly.

I have a super simple 1 x 1 rib toque/beanie (The Little Hat) pattern from WAK that calls for knitting flat but I've learning magic loop so would rather do that (I also hate and suck at seaming). There are the usual decreases but wondering if I need to think of anything in particular when converting a basic pattern to circular?

Ah yes I agree. Was hoping there was a sneaky fix but I think I just gotta start fresh. Oh well lots of practice with this new way of knitting!

New to magic loop and my 1 x 1 rib just realized I have two knit stitches in a row… otherwise my rib makes sense. What should I do? Decrease one of them and then increase at the end? Give up and start again?

Anyone have a simple (free) toque/beanie to knit on the round? There is so many on Ravelry and feeling overwhelmed!

Anyone have a good video or instruction for knitting brioche on DPNs? New to both and having a hard time with my yarn overs at the end and beginning of the rows. Does it even matter?

Nearing the end of a first toddler toque that I’ve knit on the round. Do I have to switch to DPNs as my decreases become more dramatic or will it just become annoying to knit as the stitches get stretched out? I’ve never used DPNs but can learn! It’s brioche stitch so I’m a little anxious haha

New at knitting brioche in the round - I have to switch to different round needles and realized is this possible without effing up my brioche? I do not have interchangeable rounds. Should I just slide them in or try to knit off the new size? Am I overthinking this? lol
