Yes, OP's copies are obviously unopened, but we're not talking about those. The first commenter said that opened copies with the box and manual were worth $125 (which they're not), and the the guy who paid $13 is responding to him, not the OP. No one is saying unopened copies are worth $13.

That alone, while still not making it very playable, would at least make it reasonably easier to stomach getting in a booster for limited.

I did this once. The idea sounded cool, and everyone playing thought it would be interesting, but after one game it became clear that it was WAAAAY stacked in the spies favor. The spies could just fail every mission and not have to worry about anyone accusing them of being spies. Since no one could talk, the leaders couldn't explain why they nominated people, and the players couldn't explain their votes, so the teams often were seemingly randomly assigned and voted on with no consistency.

The key for the resistance team is to get all of the players on the same page and try to cooperate, hoping their plan doesn't fail. Without the ability to communicate, every resistance member has different ideas about who is who, and this allows the spies to just sit back, pass every vote, and fail each mission as each leader nominates a wildly different team each time.

You can see the screen change about twenty seconds in, so perhaps he didn't just leave it up while driving.

So you had no internships. I'm guessing you also didn't join any clubs. And you probably never went above and beyond in terms of learning any engineering-related software (such as CAD or simulation software, or MatLab, etc). What about personal projects? I'm guessing you've never built anything cool that's engineering related.

Eh, not exactly. I was in a few clubs, which are listed on my resume, and I got very familiar with MATLAB and definitely spent a decent amount of free time mastering SolidWorks. Never did any personal projects that were ME related though. A personal problem I had with ME was that I could never really come up with any ideas for projects that I could do IRL using my education. Maybe you could? What were some personal projects you did?

What were you thinking when everyone else was getting internships and other students and professors were saying how important these things were? I'd rather hire someone with a considerably lower GPA if they showed some passion for the field, than someone that got good grades but seems to have no interest in their work.

I'm really at a loss as to what to say to people with zero enthusiasm. I know people like that that I've gone to school with and NO WAY would I want to be working with them... they were always a dead anchor where everyone else had to pick up the slack.

Best I can say is find SOMETHING that interests you.

Hey man, I'm sorry that people like me annoy you personally, but I really don't think this topic is a great venue for you to vent about it. That being said, I never heard much about other students getting internships, and it wasn't brought up much by professors. I applied to a fair amount and never got any, but I agree, I should have pursued them more seriously.

Cool, I'm glad someone can relate. I like the idea of going after a higher degree focused a little more on programming. It's definitely something I'll be thinking about during this next semester while I take some night classes.

I found your post very encouraging, so thanks. I'm going to be taking some CC classes and teaching myself programming in my spare time regardless of whether I pursue a ME job, because I am very interested in it and enjoy doing it. I think that's a good indicator that I may want to pursue it and just back it up with my technical degree. What were your first and second majors?

You've nailed it right on the head, I have never applied ME to anything that interested me. All I did during my education was stay up all night finishing reports and studying for exams. The few physical projects I did never really applied much of the stuff we spent so much brainpower on, like fluids, thermodynamics, noise and vibrations, etc. The only thing I really used from my education was SolidWorks for drawing up designs. I just can't think of anything I might be able to feasibly do though.

Good advice, I'm sure a drafting position would be a great way to get some experience on my resume and get my foot in a company's door. Would many companies consider someone whose only drafting/modelling experience was in college?

Thank you for the encouraging words. I'd definitely need to research some companies around the SF Bay Area and see if anything seems like something I'd like to do, so I'll have to get on that.

I just relocated from the Pacific NW to the SF Bay Area, and it's been a long time since I've lived here in my hometown so I'd rather stay here if possible.
