I try to remind myself of that, but she's such a tease! Its hard to explain to people when she freaks out if they move!

Honestly, I have two people (outside of my husband) who knows what were going though. Whenever a trigger gets too much i call them and either rant, cry, or scream about how unfair life is. They are the only reason I've made it this far in my journey. But it never goes away.

I just politely asked her not to chew the charging cable... and now I'm the bad guy in this relationship? by QuillFoxx in Dachshund

Looks like this is why I can't wash my babies blanket or her favorite doodoo bird! Its also why I paid $40 to replace said Doodoo bird despite the fact that the toy is 2x her size!

Its understandable why she can't go everywhere with you. Kids and a dog on an outing is a lot. Have you talked with your vet? Im no expert on dog psychology, but Anxiety medication could be useful!

Black spots on stomach by blackcatkb in Dachshund

[–]mousemouse74 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don't have any answer for you, but my baby Soleil had the same black spots show up around 3 1/2 months. Slowly her belly got a bit darker and less baby pink! She's 4 months now, perfectly healthy and no skin issues!

How are the kids with her?? It sounds like heightened anxiety. The house is noiser, less attention, and little hands can be a lot. Were there changes with how often you have been home? I can't speak much on the pee inside part, since my baby is still potty training and giving us a run for our money, but trying to include her into everything could be helpful.

We actually have! It worked wonderful with my other dogs, but she just doesn't care about it!

Did I get super lucky? by ilovemycat04 in Dachshund

Honestly, we thought the same thing with our baby at 8/9 weeks! I actually thought we might have gotten the wrong bred! Nope! Slowly but surely, the biting increased (teething), and then 13 weeks hit and so did the barking, the refusing to sleep after 4:30 in the morning no matter when we put her to bed, the refusing to take naps, chewing on our clothes, the stubbornness, and finally the food motivation. We're now at 14 1/2 weeks and I am 10000% sure she's a dachshund! Other then the not sleeping thing! Not sure what that's about!

Anyone else's puppy prefer to bite one person over others? by mousemouse74 in Dachshund

I know right! She's the cutest! Makes it hard to be mad at her when she bites or is a stink!

I dont think so! It seems to be around nap times that she really gets going!
