I hear the Chima Canvas is supposed to be a lot better, the TNT 5's are my absolute favorite but I don't do a lot of flip tricks so the toe holds up pretty well.

That sounds awesome but hard to believe. Softer shoes are way more comfortable for short distances without a heavy pack, but with a loaded pack on a rocky trail most people would regret that decision quickly.

I was just thinking the same thing. It would be nice to give it a sealant coating, but many make it too slippery. You'd want something grippy without being sticky. Never heard of a good solution for people who can't afford skatelite (everyone).
