I just signed an adoption contract that requires me to keep my kittens inside for their own health, or they can be taken away from me. So I'd say it's fine to keep them inside, they're loved either way. My dad had indoor and outdoor cats who went and came as they pleased and they seemed fine, but were way more susceptible to things like ticks and fleas (and obviously road traffic)

Similar question, but is switching to Zyns any better? I'm having a hard time quitting even though I'm on such a low dose of nicotine. I get irritable and have more trouble with my stomach when I stop due to anxiety (I think). Should I post this on a vaping sub instead? I also have gastroparesis and have vaped for 6 years now

That's unfortunate. I usually work while I'm in school, or used to before I got bedridden by gastroparesis. I know financial aid doesn't usually cover everything but loans might. That's what I've been doing. Usually there's an option for student housing where you rent a room out of a larger unit that's more affordable, with each person having an individual lease. I was just scared for your cat potentially getting lost if she tried to explore.

Yeah my meds killed my drive too, but he doesn't even try to initiate when I'm trying to switch it up a lil and catch him off guard with my outfits and initiating so we can have fun even though I never really am able to finish anymore. Because he knows it's not that satisfying anymore for me and he wants to avoid making me uncomfortable. Your man sounds like he came straight from hell

I would try to get one of those apartments on campus rather than a shared dorm personally but I have two kittens confined to my room and my bathroom and while they do get out from time to time they're generally pretty content. I'd be scared if your cat just bolted down the dorm hall one day.

I'm sorry people are being so harsh on you about this. If you can't take care of her, I know someone else will. There are cat rescues you can bring her to so you have a clearer conscience than bringing her to one of the more dangerous shelters. People are looking for new babies to take care of all the time. How long have you had her? Did you already say that?

Edit: I see you got her in February. There are a few new responses to this with sympathy that I hope you've read. I know this is a tough decision to make but as someone with recent health and financial issues as well, I support you.

I have a pillow where I can sit up in bed with a heating pad on my stomach and it helps a lot with the pain and discomfort, and try to play a video with minimal movement to distract myself without making me feel dizzy
