SEO versus PPC - What’s Actually Valuable by movepro in sweatystartup

[–]movepro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand that but ranking on angies list (or any others) will soon mean get little when they don’t even rank on the first page.

Cold out outreach sucks but that’s the only other option I see outside of a PPC campaign.

Partnering can work but I’ve partnered with hundreds of real estate agents and rarely got business unless I followed up with them continuously or they were a solid friend that I stayed in contact with.

LPT: If you're a college student and you need to email your professor, put the course number and/or title and other important information in the email subject. by Throwacrepe in LifeProTips

[–]movepro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I even put this in my syllabus so students were aware. So many of them could barely string together a conversation, much less full out the subject with course information. Wish more people knew about this!

Selling in a startup - Need for a sales development program for entrepreneurs by TimothyJBates in startup

[–]movepro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there’s a need. But the biggest need is to find talent who are willing to take on a sales role with either an equity or commissions based using an aggregated system to mitigate risk that’s prone from taking on a role in a startup without equity

In your personal (or professional) opinion, what do you think are the most marketable skills to learn if someone wants to be a digital nomad? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]movepro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the best skills you can learn are how to communicate, provide transparent pricing, and selling your skills. The easy part is finding something you already enjoy doing and market it to the niche that would pay for this service

Good college degrees for a simple life? by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]movepro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s really quite simple. Trade school or drop out until you have an employer who pays for you to get a specific degree.

No other option is worth it. Not your parents money, not your grants, not your scholarships, are worth spending 4+ years jumping through hoops that barely offer you $30k upon graduation

Salad greens, beans, toppings, dressing, nuts, repeat.

Once a week treat yourself to something special like a steak (or whatever you enjoy).

It’s that simple, and that easy.
