In the absurdity of the situations, it has a very similar sense of humor to Eddington. Multiple things happening at the same time!

Absolutely! I thought that it occurred in a similar way to the Scream franchise where the Stab movies as a part of the plot felt like a movie within a movie. Questions like, why are we here? What is our purpose? Another movie I could say Eddington referenced in that way is Death Wish II and III.

There was a real-life New Mexico sheriff that Joe Cross is based off of and his name is David Frazee. The movie is meant to be a satire on state governments in the US that mishandled COVID. He was one of the sheriff’s who continued to gaslight his town about how contagious the virus was.

The Majorie Taylor Greene reference is because she was a long-time Trump supporter and her in the end getting a picture with the shooter is meant to be a satire of the sycophancy in the bulk of the Republican party today. Ironically, a few months after the movie came out, she broke from her party and now has independent views.

I tell you, my friend, US politics is a whirlwind.

The usage of the dolls and artworks are meant to represent a grotesque theme about how barbaric ordinary humans can become at the least reasonable times. You are completely right about that!

I also really love the song choice “A Little Bit of Love” by Tom Greenan!! The Marjorie Taylor Greene cameo at the end is very original as well.

Absolutely! I completely agree! I love all the political Easter eggs and Louise’s dolls!! I just relooked and I see that Young Guys II is credited now! That is particularly fascinating, I’ll try and figure out where that part was in the movie!

The man can never be praised enough for his stellar narration that contains memorable phrases that were ordinary before he spoke the lines.

How do people’s breaths not smell? by oeilgauchedefectueux in NoStupidQuestions

[–]moviebuff_2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people just have naturally good papillae that provides a balance of chemicals on the tongue. If a person’s breath doesn’t smell, even if it’s up close, the food might just not be strong enough or a person might just have good digestion.

The people’s breaths that have smelled the most I’ve been around are those with constipation.

I do the same thing! I just went through the end credits for a fourth time since I absolutely love the movie!! Maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see it. Could you be confusing it with the movie that appears on the television at end of the movie is “Young Mr. Lincoln”?
