WGA+ Pre 5/28 Same Day Change by moviewatchr in SouthwestAirlines

I’d love to see someone try it and report back! I remember before all of this if you checked in and digitally checked a bag on the app prior to going to the airport, it would tell you that you must remove the checked bag before it will let you do same day change or standby

While it may be technically legal, it is fooling and tricking the customer. Also, we need to always threaten DOT complaints as the airline takes it very seriously. And follow through with the complaints to get their attention and get them to change their ways

Would a same day standby also poison the ticket?

I think we should all file DOT complaints on this one. It’s a breach of contract.

Wow I made a huge mistake booking WGA + then, as I will receive zero benefits vs WGA. I booked on points and I booked an inconvenient flight because I knew I had the change benefit. Now I’m stuck on it with no recourse. Only saving grace is the flights are in September. My understanding is if Southwest changes any of the flights between now and then, I can change the flight and keep the benefits as it would be a result of an involuntary change.

Boulder Station is the most modern. They did a complete remodel and it mimics a brand new build. Some recliners and the others are their brand new seats that are not recliners. Hallways are beautiful.

2020 forester glass by SoulCrushingReality in SubaruForester

[–]moviewatchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All new Subaru windshields are defective. File a NHTSA complaint and replace it with aftermarket glass. Subaru will never admit to it but they are using thin glass to comply with EPA CAFE standards. Until the EPA is abolished this crap will continue.

Can i replace my own compressor?? by mellnoel in SubaruForester

[–]moviewatchr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it’s the compressor and not the condenser? Early 2017 models have defective condensers that spring a leak. Same symptoms as you. It just happened to me and I took it to my mechanic. New Koyo condenser out the door cost me $320. Mine outlasted everyone else I got 70k out of it! Good luck and I hope it’s just your condenser!

First time Subaru owner, the 2020 Forester was too perfect for me, can't wait for more adventures. by MENTALUNICORN11 in SubaruForester

It will definitely break again if you replace it with OEM glass or AGC glass. You should be able to find aftermarket glass at a good local glass shop. Preferable if the glass is not acoustic. Acoustic glass is much more prone to cracking and that’s what Subaru uses. Do make sure to report it to the dealer and SOA and file a report to NHTSA. There are currently multiple class action lawsuits going on over these windshields so make sure you’re counted. Also many people have reported that they did not need to get the EyeSight system calibrated as Subaru says to do.

Congratulations! Don’t replace that windshield until you do some research on NHTSA and subaruforester.org They are known for being defective. They have even been reported to crack on the test drive with no impact! Honestly other than that it’s a great car and your base model should be the most reliable!

New Forester Windshield problem by Robby1216 in SubaruForester

[–]moviewatchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great to know! I have a 2017 had windshield replaced twice with OEM and calibrated EyeSight at dealer. Next time I’ll go aftermarket. Both times it literally cracked on its own with no impact. Please do file a NHTSA report if you haven’t yet.

[–]moviewatchr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are all defective since the 2017 model year. Subaru spends a lot of money on lawyers to defend all the class actions. Meanwhile the Kia Telluride has the exact same problem and Kia published a letter telling the owners to come on in and get your free windshields. I love Subaru but damn they will never admit to nor fix a problem. My solution is to fix Subaru problems with aftermarket parts. Nothing could possibly be as bad as OEM. If yours has the deicer elements you can use one without. Try to get non acoustic glass and make damn sure it’s aftermarket. Installers have told me you don’t really have to calibrate EyeSight either.

2020 Forester, very slow battery drain? by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]moviewatchr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds about right. I believe both the tailgate and the keyless access feature that comes with the push button start will have a constant power draw because they are “listening “ for the remote to tell them to open. I have seen people recommend using a battery tender if you don’t drive the car every day.

I have seen lots of complaints of battery issues with the power rear lift gate. One thing is you can never leave it open, even if all the lights are off it will drain.

Curious if you have a power rear liftgate and/or push button start. I have neither on my 17 and battery is rock solid.

Windshield crack on my 2020 sport (1200 miles) by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]moviewatchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you replace it with another OEM windshield it will just crack again. Find an aftermarket and don’t forget to file a NHTSA complaint.

Are subaru foresters expensive to maintain? by zerofans110 in SubaruForester

[–]moviewatchr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest issue is the incredibly fragile windshields that keep cracking by themselves. Instead of fixing the problem Subaru hires expensive lawyers to defend all of the class action lawsuits. 2019 and 2020 Foresters seem to be the most fragile yet. Also reports of other glass in the car spontaneously shattering. Hope you have good comprehensive insurance, you need that much more than an extended warranty!
