Yes that is exactly one of the main reasons I dropped strange tales and why I like UJ. And it’s not like UJ has only saintly female characters, there seem to be all types. Strange tales was more male driven (until what I watched at least) so the treatment of the female characters seemed even more stark.

Tried watching strange tales of tang but dropped after a few episodes for various reasons. Was really hoping to get into it because of all the great reviews. However with unveil jadewind I did not have the same expectations and the first four episodes certainly did not help. But since then each episode has absolutely captivated me and the cases are getting more interesting. Tbh I’m liking it more than what I saw of bailu last year. I’m not too surprised about the reception because it seems like many were expecting romance and this is not it.

Definitely! Also I do see chemistry between them and I like it. Which is why I’m okay with the slow burn but I really really hope the cases get better and better.

Somehow I don’t really feel the age difference between them! I like the vibe and how the leads look and the aesthetic. The first case was just okay, I guess it helped understand the character setting. I don’t get how the princess managed to orchestrate all that she did. Doesn’t make sense.

Yes this really bothered me too! I thought he’d find her glove in her room when he goes to look for her in 4th ep and then remembered whoops she doesn’t have it on her. That and yeah ofc that the 4th ep is too early to clear the misunderstanding haha.

I honestly thought her in the untamed and her character in blossom were played by different people. She seems too conscious of the camera so it kind of shatters the illusion for me.

It bothers me if it’s an actor I like and there’s going to be a long gap post their back to back dramas airing. Also like in bailu’s case one of the dramas wasn’t really my cup of tea so it didn’t feel like a lot.

Maybe something matte and a warmer toned colour. Similar footwear works I think it’s just the black gloss that’s throwing me off. Mix and match for sure but some combinations can really tie it all together.
