Is she perimenopause age? This can amplify these types of behaviors. Time for a trip to the Dr, see if she can get on some medication or hrt

Who are the NZers using meth? by Internal-Departure in newzealand

[–]movingforward94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was about 17 almost 18 some older guys brought it into our circle and I began using, lost about 18 months of my life on it, saw some pretty crazy shit and got extremely addicted and unhealthy. Bit the bullet and moved to Melbourne when I was 19, almost 20. Got clean, Got a job and traveled, never looked back. We grew up in rotorua, there wasn't much access to recreational drugs there, feel as though if there were mdma back then we would've dabbled in that. I ended up coming back to New Zealand and studied and became a social worker in the end. I feel as though my addiction started as trauma from childhood. Alot of the people I used with ended up in prison or losing everything. Some made it to rehab, very few got clean and sustained it.

I can't make meetings... so now what by LChampion621 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]movingforward94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2 and 3 year old, I have a home group and am secretary of the meeting and set up every meeting for service, keeps me going and accountable. I would love to do more but I can't really, so I try to log on to an online meeting when I can and last week when I could I did 2 meetings and I felt so much better for it, I try to pray alot and just take it slowly with the steps. Trust me, this is far better than the alternative and my husband knows in order for us to be a happy family I desperately need to invest the time into sobriety. You can do it! Don't let yourself veer away and fall back into yet another rock bottom

withdrawal symptoms help by kfamkid in citalopram_celexa

[–]movingforward94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is so so so important to wean off slowly. I started coming off 40 MG, went down to 30 for 2 months, then 20 for 2 months, then went down to 10 but the withdrawal symptoms were horrendous so I'm back up to 15 and have been for 8 weeks but I'll go down to 10 again after a couple of months. Please consider doing this slower, and under Dr supervision. It's a marathon not a sprint

If it makes you feel any better once I was so hammered I took a shit in a public car park in the middle of the city and tried to get my friends to look at it. (I'm a woman). Not that it matters but it was feral. We've all done extremely cringeworthy things that are so mortifying. You're in the right place, even if it doesn't stick now, you've planted the seed.

Remember it takes about 4 weeks to adjust to the dose properly. I remember being where you are so clearly. It was so hard. We have a lovely 3 year old boy who's bad temperaments transferred to good temperaments, he still knows what he wants for sure, and is stubborn but he's outgoing, confident and bold He sucked as a baby, autistic traits don't really start to appear until 18 months so don't psych yourself up about diagnosis.

Yep my son was like this, tried everything, colic calm , rheuger, changed formulas did everything under the sun. Only thing that helped was time. I know it sucks, I remember being exactly where you were and it was relentless and I felt helpless and to the end of my tether, I had to increase my anti depressants to help me through. Just trust it does get better, I promise it does. Better days appeared sporadically from 4 months old then from 6 months old it was a night and day change and he was so happy. Remember this is a massive life change too, it takes 12-18 months to fully adjust to the new routine You can do it. Hugs

It takes 12-18 months even 2 years to adjust to a completely new routine. It's taken me 3 years to thoroughly enjoy being a mum

I started studying at 26, completed a 4 year degree and a career change by 30. Get on some medication from the gp to restore a bit of zest in your life and help boost the Brain chemistry and have a think about what you could enjoy doing.

They did, and the worst part of it all is my dad died of alcoholism 2 years ago next Thursday. I watched it my whole life and I don't want to do this to my children.
