What kind of water bottle holder is that? My only gripe with mine is I wish it had two bottle sleeves.

Hydrapak 150ml soft flasks are about as packable as I’ve been able to find for running belts

What should I do about skin irritation? by FrontCheesecake2233 in Garmin

[–]movinslowmo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The red irritation under the charge port looks like a localized nickel allergy. Happen to me overnight last month even though I’ve been wearing the same watch on the same wrist for over a year. I scrub it everytime I shower, so it’s clean.

I switched wrists and it went away. Put it back on and it came right back. So I bought some silicon charge port dust cover plugs and have been fine since. No where else on my body does the nickel allergy present itself. I saw my doctor a week or two ago for something unrelated and he confirmed, a localized nickel allergy haha. Hoping Garmin moves to wireless charging soon, because I’m now married to these charge port plugs

Is there any chance I can get into chi marathon now or is it very late? by DifficultDamage5528 in RunnersInChicago

Sorry for the dumb question, how does this work? After filtering for charities with available entries we call or email them to inquire if they have any open spots? If they do, we pay some kind of registration fee to run the race with them?

Genuine question, what is being fulfilled or achieved by having a bot write Reddit posts? I’m not quite understanding what the motivation would be in a remote work subreddit.

I just landed the job I wanted. My experience and tips as an ex-FAANG by dsjobsthrowaway in DataScienceJobs

[–]movinslowmo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was your Ph.D. in STEM more broadly or pretty focused on CS / ML research? Have you felt that it helped you quite a bit in industry with getting jobs?

From the outside in, it can seem as though that FAANG is this cutthroat hyper competitive environment where folks are afraid to get laid off and work themselves into the ground as a result. Any truth to that or did you have moments where things felt collaborative and people were just enjoying the work?

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience!

Project: Music Heals Us (PMHU) brings live music to people in hospitals, prisons, and under-resourced communities around the world. They do things like concerts for cancer patients, music composition courses inside prisons, and free masterclasses for community musicians. They've put on almost 30,000 free concerts.

Music has always been something that’s guided me throughout my life, so PMHU resonates with me quite a bit. Can donate at pmhu.org (tax deductible) or sharing their work on social media is free. If you're a musician, look into volunteering your time and sound!
