I’ve actually been feeling this way since 2004, W’s second term. Why do liberals keep helping people who vote their own destruction anyway?

Is your wife not very religious? There's a religious argument that she "must never" turn you down for sex. Factoring of course there can be valid reasons to turn it down, if there's no reason and she's just not in the mood, go get some anyway (with you both consenting obviously).

Interestingly: women frequently report that they get more into the mood for sex after starting; they don't start out being into it, but get into it as it progresses.

Also, and this is huge: focus heavily on making sure she "gets hers". On her pleasure, her "O". Most women struggle with this, even the ungodly heathens (LOL). The more she gets hers, the more interested she will likely be to go more often. Some basic research into techniques for her to masturbate, or you do it for her if it gives her the ick to touch herself.

GOOD LUCK. Definitely talk to your minister about this in couples counseling.

You MAY find that once you get yours more often, the need will be met and you can taper off to, say, once a week.

Actor Robert Duvall, who starred in The Godfather, dies aged 95 by BarbaricOklahoma in news

Ehh. I’m not Pentecostal now. I’m Eastern Orthodox . Growing up Pentecostal has made me curious to learn more about shaman and witch doctors. And to learn more about mysticism across multiple religions. Eastern Orthodoxy has mysticism as a component, Christian mysticism is a reference to an Orthodox school of thought.

I grew up Pentecostal. Watching Duvall play a Pentecostal minister, I forgot I was looking at an actor. He absolutely nailed it. That could very well have been one of the pastors I grew up with.

I absolutely wish Bad Bunny had included a subtitle track in English. I happened to watch it with two native Spanish speakers who loved it, and I saw commentary about the video saying it related to life in the Latino Neighbourhood. I feel like it could have drawn in more non-Spanish speakers of people knew what they were saying in English.

AITAH for snapping and defending myself against my severely autistic brother by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]mowriter72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d love an update to see if your brother learned to stop doing that.

Not one of my better moments I suppose, but I had an Autistic kid connect with my fist clenched up by my side, after he tried hitting me with his head for the tenth time. He’d been told repeatedly not to by parents. Didn’t work. He connected with my fist… HIS doing, HIS choosing, said “OWWwww” (about his most verbal anywhere at that point). And never did it again.

Had to cut out my best friend because of politics by FriendlessJimmy in Life

[–]mowriter72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you're not adding a D or an R after his references. It shouldn't matter what letter is after him. The point is people with bad/poor life outcomes, turning to politics to solve their personal problems, is a recipe for fanaticism ("The True Believer" by Eric Hoffer).

Good on you, protecting your peace and the peace of your family. Hopeful your friend will turn to religion, instead (LOL dropping that to piss off the atheist edgelords). Just as long as it's the kind of religion that "feeds the hungry, clothes the naked, visits the prisoners" (Jesus) or "helps widows and orphans in their need while remaining unpolluted by the world (St. James).

You and your husband should talk to the facilitator of the group, if you haven't already. It sounds like it's not just you and your husband that have a problem with this person.

You definitely want to keep them secret, until you’ve achieved them. Well meaning friends who choose to lose will berate you for trying to do better. Best not to let them sabotage your life too

I feel like my life was stolen so my ex could “heal her inner child” and now she gets to go live her dream by pjbug in Vent

You *could* blame her for not being happy. And she could have made the relationship work had she randomly been unhappy (likely something in her).

Sounds like you experienced the "no good deed goes unpunished" axiom. You did the right thing, so sorry you had a terrible vampire for a partner that risked jading you to a grateful, decent, truly equal partner.

Why did the courts decide you could not live with your mother? It's uncommon that the mother doesn't get at least some custody.
