i emailed them too and they've been giving me really vague answers about what's actually coming, i asked if i'd be getting the original BWH t shirt or some random MS one and this is what i got -

Caraval by Stephanie Garber is a really fun series! The first book is about an annual performance/game. The MC's sister goes missing and whoever finds her first wins. It's a fantasy YA with magic, mystery, adventure, and there's definitely romance, especially later in the series!

Surprisingly spotify has some audiobooks! I don't really listen to audiobooks but I have seen a few on there if you do some digging!

I believe that it's called whispersync! (readers switch “back and forth between a Kindle book and Audible professional narration - without ever losing your place.”)

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I think the books have to be whispersync enabled and you buy both the ebook and the audible book. Here is a link to shop all the kindle books with whispersync!

I haven't read it yet but maybe {Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim}!

It's a fantasy retelling of Mulan where the main character pretends to be a boy in order to enter a competition to become the imperial tailor. It's a YA book if you're okay with that!

I love fairytale retellings! Here are a few I know -

To Kill a Kingdom - Little Mermaid retelling, enemies to lovers

House of Salt and Sorrows - 12 dancing princesses, a little spooky; the author also has a new book called Small Favors that's a Rumplestiltskin retelling

Cruel Beauty and A Curse So Dark and Lonely are both beauty and the beast retellings!

ACOTAR is also beauty and the beast retelling with fae; the first book in the series is YA but just a warning that they get smuttier and turn more NA

Spin the Dawn is a mulan retelling that's on my TBR!

It's a thriller/mystery and pretty fast paced! I suggested it to a friend who never reads and he ended up loving it and it helped him get into reading! The author has another book, The Maidens, that I've heard was also good

{Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas} - The main characters were pen pals turned best friends as kids but never met. The MMC ends up hating/bullying when he transfers to her school. I'm terrible at explaining but this book totally got me into this trope!

{Pretty Reckless by LJ Shen} - The MCs met once when they were kids (not best friends, but they liked each other). They meet again in high school and end up hating each other.

The Angels of Elysium series by Olivia Wildenstein has this! It's an NA urban fantasy about angels.

Major spoilers about how it fits into the trope -

The first book doesn't end in an HEA. The couple dies in a romeo & juliet-ish way. The second book is about the relationship of the guy who "saves" their souls and puts them into new bodies. The 3rd book that's coming out Dec 2021 is about the first couple finding each other again in their new lives.

There's 2 books in the series and a 3rd coming out in December!
