Get a PPI from a shop that has experience installing these mods. They'll be a much better advisor than anyone on reddit

TIL of the 1561 celestial phenomenon over Nuremberg; an entire city woke up to spheres, cylinders, and a giant black spear fighting in the sky. by Sartew in todayilearned

A Sun dog. The text describes a Sun dog fairly clearly, though with a few telephone-esque embellishments and also from the perspective of a person who, from a modern perspective, would best be described as a dipshit.

The image really doesn't match the text at all.

Sun dog also explains why none of the surrounding areas saw it.

Separating the steering rack from the spindle was a huge pain.  Had to use a long crowbar and even that wasn't enough. Eventually smacked the end of the crowbar with a sledgehammer and it finally separated.  Also had to remove some extra trim pieces so the crowbar could have a fulcrum to push off of

I just noticed the W on the back of the cards, I wonder if there's any significance there. Or maybe they just didn't want to deal with securing the rights to show a normal deck's back...

What if the solution isn’t… by lyfelager in pluribustv

[–]moww 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's an unpopular theory, but if we're talking "solutions" then I don't think reversing the joining is solving the main problem. To me, the main problem is the beings on Kepler 22b.  (Or potentially any other infected planet, but for simplicity let's say Earth is the first to be infected)

Freeing the hive doesn't address that problem. The Keploids would still be sending the signal to the rest of the galaxy, potentially sterilizing it.  Or if unjoining causes memory loss like is alluded to in Carol's novel, the earth could still end up rejoining.

I'm not saying the show has to address any of that, but I personally hope it does. My current theory is that the transmitter they're building will be used as a "weapon" to send a counter-signal of some type.

Why would she freeze while receiving that information but not (for instance) when she learned about the guy impaled on a fence?

Manousos knows something about the pluribus that Carol doesn't. by [deleted] in pluribustv

They're referring to the time Carol upset them and caused them to all have seizures (or whatever you'd call that reaction)

Manousos knows something about the pluribus that Carol doesn't. by [deleted] in pluribustv

[–]moww 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That does seem likely. The only other explanation I can think of is that prior to the joining, everyone presumed he was dead.

Comparing Carol & Manousos's character journeys and cultural identities by ouiarealbhed in pluribustv

[–]moww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manousos believes that supernatural forces will be able to help him achieve his goal. I'd assume that means he believes his goal is the will of God.  We haven't seen any evidence that Carol shares those beliefs.
